We are having difficulties in deciding future bikes and styles in our range. So we are contacting various Ducati forum members to ask, what do you expect of Ducati and what would you like us to to do for Ducati's future?

And your reply might be?

.....Hang on Claudio, I'll just get my tools. 😋

A few years back I did get invited to visit KTM to review a new bike that turned out to be the Super Duke GT

Seems from the comments that many are stuck in the past, things have to move on, it's a competitive world out there and few are going to buy a new old bike.

Agree to an extent but the way ducati is going with the Audi business model it’s just going to become and expensive German bike with Italian heritage.
Also what’s with the wings and weight saving carbon fibre? The wings are useless on the road and the weight saving of carbon fibre is negated by the mature operators brokers bulge hanging over the tank. And the username r32. Are you @AirCon in disguise ? Cheers 😂

I'm exceptionally difficult to disguise... especially as another human.

Ducati, are a specialist manufacturer and have always pushed the boundaries producing at least one (often more) cutting edge bike. It's great that they still do, they have to compete and even Honda and Yamaha are selling bikes with wings. There's always enough people to buy exotic machinery. What would you have them sell? CB125's.
If you want something without the bells and whistles you can always get a Royal Enfield.

No I'm not Aircon

Big price Tag doesn’t always equate to exotic and I would hardly call Ducati exotic these days. They had to start making mass produced bikes to survive I get it but they certainly are not exotic as anyone can
Go and get one on the never never if they like.
emperors new clothes springs to mind.

I agree with Ducati having to keep up with the times especially now with this fake so called pandemic making things difficult for everybody, i could of bought a Pani or anything when i got my compensation money but the whole Ducati thing in the modern makes just doesn't float my boat, a bit of a story coming, i met a guy at the garage next to Loomies and he was on a 1952 Vincent series C Rapide  a bike i have always wanted even as a kid, i just fell in love with the engine the lines everything really(and well ahead of it's time) i got talking to him and said it was my dream bike(i could of bought one but it would have taken a huge chunk of my compo and the wife would of killed me) anyway all he was interested in was my 900ie(i know) and he said that all the modern Ducati's are just electronic jiggery pokery that perform great and are amazing to ride and the Ducati mark has lost it's Ducatiness(i know not a word but what the fuck) and said he likes all the stuff up to the 999 and not interested in anything after that(he must know his shit as the Vincent was a rebuilded motor he had done for a client that he was road testing it) i can't comment as i have never ridden any of the Pani range so the jury's out on that one.
Anyway i love my 900ie and the 996 they are great bikes to ride and as we know there is something about them that if you could bottle you would make a fortune!!(y)

So are we saying, Claudio fella, part of the attraction was the soul of a ducati and the german owners have engineered that out of ducati to a point that in the commercial market, ducati's are simply souless, overpriced engineering projects ? and we can get better bikes with more soul for much much cheaper
