Could it be true? Casey and Cal to Ducati?

Hope so. Casey is a talented rider. I always liked him, but a lot of people don't. He doesn't do himself any favours, but it would be great to see him back

Fingers crossed, interesting pairing to say the least. I found the artical very interesting and more importantly believable.

Really don't care who rides it, I just want to see it challenging for podiums. At the moment it's bloody boring with the same 3 guys hogging all the tv time

You've got to be kidding! Most exciting start to a MotoGP season for donkeys years because it's closer than it has been of late. Already this year we've had 3 different winners from 3 different races, and both Cal and Rossi have been up there with a chance. Not to mention a rookie who is winning races!

It would be nice to see a Ducati up there as well, but they've just had a staff clean out and are going to need a season to establish a new direction (unless anyone thinks the old direction was working...)

Can't see Cal signing for them after being left high and dry last time. If he keeps up his form this year, he'll be hot property...

Not sure if you have read the article but it makes a big play around the fact that Ducati GP has a completely new management structure, and therefore those who let down Cal and Casey are gone.

Yep, I read it, but if he can keep it up, Cal will be much more desirable next year.. He had to eat a lot of humble pie to get his ride back this year, once bitten twice shy, etc.

Given the sorry current state of the Ducati, he would be insane to choose that above a factory Yamaha or Honda. Don't think Rossi will be in Moto GP forever either...

He doesn't have much choice. Lorenzo, Rossi, Marquez, Pedrosa, Bradl and Bautista have all signed for 2013/2014.

There are no factory Honda or Yamaha's available. His only hope for a factory ride is Rossi retires after year one of his two year deal, Ducati or Suzuki.

Whats Cal's got is as good as he's getting for the mo. Mind you Bradl might get released if his results don't improve; a factory Honda getting regularly trounced by a satellite Yam is not going down well.

Only thing for Cal to do is keep riding the wheels of the bikes he's got and keeping his gob shut. 1st bit is more likely than the 2nd bit :)

No rules against about running 3 factory bikes. If he can keep bringing a satellite bike in just behind (or in front - see Austin) the GOAT, it might get so embarrassing they have to offer up another bike!

Stoner coming back?

I've met stoner several times and he's a bit of a Jeykle and Hyde character.
If you catch him right you can get autographs off him and even a bit of crack.
If you catch him wrong he hates you, the fans, the media, the PR machine - all of it.
He's only happy riding the bike ( as long as its working) and flying home.
In Valencia he totally ignored a few of us asking for autographs and went into his motor home.( as I have seen him do many times at three different track).....but he overheard a Spanish guy saying "stoner he never speak or sign."
Anyway he came back out saying "you know how much hassle I get every day."
He still signed a photo for me but when I said " we'll miss you next year" he said " yeah sure you will."
I've always thought he was a very talented rider but he really hates the circus that goes with it.
Some riders managed the publicity brilliantly (Rossi) others are just down right honest ( cal crutchlow at silverstone last year had the fencing removed from around his motor home to allow the fans near and spent over an hour signing autographs.this was with his foot in plaster)
Casey left moto gp because he hated the game.
I can't see him coming back but if the car racing in Oz has fallen flat then just maybe......

If were to make himself available i think it more likely he will go back to Honda. They would pay anything Ducati would, and not likely fall off as much
