Crap weather for the next month?

 Next year you should all pay me NOT to tax my bike and the weather will be beautiful :)

just about a white out way down south here in Gateshead, and not a drop of snow, to say the council have gone absolutely mental with the road salt is an understatement :mad2:

Same up here mate, the amount of salt on the roads now is far worse than what it has been in the past few months, which is quite funny actually since the weather is improving (mainly rain+ ice, now and again, higher tempertures), compared to the past few months when it was far more colder+ icier than what it is now  why can they not use the same road treatment as what they use somewhere else(dont remember the name of the country) w@@@ers

Same here too. The roads are now whiter with salt than they were with snow.
Maybe it's like their budget from government - if they don't use it all up, what's left gets subtracted from next years allocation.

Same here Derek, looking out of my window today (and while i was washing this S@@t off the bike), it started snowing :D ,not heavy though and only for about 15 mints)

all you could see was the road pure white, unbelievable

must admit with it actually being dry (here and hence white) its much better than the normal slimey wet salted roads

Im off to Invergordon tomorrow....whats the state of the roads up there like?

Davie,

Apart from a light dusting over 1000' on Saturday night/Sun morning early and nothing since then.

Roads are black and even A9 at Daviot/Drumochter etc fine.

Don't think Highland region has seen any snow in last 24 hours. Blue skies though!:)

I am heading to Stirling tomorrow night so might pass you on the road!

True Scotty, you should ave seen the amount of c@@p I washed off the bike after getting caught on my way to and from DG last saturday in very heavy rain, you could actually see the salt granules and all the road dirt (sand etc) stuck everywhere, worst bit the engine and chasis, the rear break disc was black with grime. (pain in the a@@e when its raining) at least when its dry the bike stays cleaner for longer and you dont get all that c@@p stuck to it
