has anyone ever had a custom paint job not a change of livery, but a work of art on their side panels .got some spare panels and toying with the idea

looks good ,i luv to be different ,never gonna fit the norm and encourage others too.
on the plus side my daughter who's at college doing design and tech shakes her head quite a lot if my ideas are naf so ill keep sketching and see

I miss that bike
was looking through all my old pics as I thought I had a side-on shot but cant find any
most custom paint jobs appeal to the owner, and most custom jobs are pish , keep it simple
Most custom paint jobs take a lot of time and skill and just because you don't like them does not make them pish

Customising it is always in the eye of the beholder and so it should be to coin a fraze, but you can still make a dogs dinner even with the greatest skill's and artistry along with time applied.
The Japanese very rarely get the base line graphics right, they just seem to load with garish flash of colours in thick, thin and broad strips, even using multiple colours, it seems Ducati are one of the few to make there bikes so so easy on the eye, most Tricolors just look right, plain colours look right then with subtle change in the frame and wheels ect just seem to hit the mark.
My view for what it is worth Customising generally belong on cruiser's or super fast Drag bikes, I have seen many that can pop your eyes out in admiration for details and skill, but do i think Ducati sorry no, not for me. No offence, but some pic's of customised bikes might help my blinkered view.

well sunday was rub down day ...no not the mrs but the spare panels primer applied thinking hat still on
great to see some emotions on this topic
and i will be keeping my yellow panels because when she wears them she's hot and i like looking in shop windows, i look like a spider on a banana
