DD round this Sat?

am i right in thinkin there a DD race at Oulten this Saturday? If so whats the craic? might pop over to spectate / have craic / spanner / observe / make tea / style consult etc. Where is Oulten Park and how much will it cost to get in and what times to land etc.
 
Hmm, OK, just found the calendar on DSC and it would appear not :o

dunno why i thought there was :confused:

oh well, the thought was there and open for future :wave:
 
Always welcome to come to Mallory though Steve, we are racing on Sunday, mallory Park is in Leicestershire, will only be about 1 1/2 hours for you, welcome to leave your kit in the van if your bring some civvies to walk around in !

Myself, MartinH and Freak will be racing. Fun starts with untimed practice from around 9-9.30 I would say, then Timed practice / Qualifying later in the morning then 2 races in the afternoon, thats two races each for class A ( 620 cc ) and two races for class B 9 583cc )

Should be fun !
 
There will plenty of folk from t'other side there, I have a couple of mates coming down with me and some on Sunday just for the day with the family so you won't be alone ! I have used my ticket allocation though so can't help there sorry ! You have my number if you get there, gis a call !
 
I am pit crew for this race so wil be making the brews and generally faffing about so you are more than welcome to join us :)
 
Hi Steve, If you go on Sunday give me a bell too if its not raining i'll come along. Only done 395 on the bike and its due to be serviced next Wednesday so could do the miles. Thanks

will prolly go early doors, get down for practise etc, make a day of it, only 95 miles from my house straight down M1 to exit 22

I will chuck some extra bacon, mugs etc in just in case, can't have you paying circuit prices - you may have to cook it yourselves but will have all the kit there ready - will most likely have some burgers and things left over from Sat night aswell and the BBQ is gas so crack on !

For a minute i thought you said "her-in-doors" (haha) then I re-read the quote and it read 'early doors' yep I guess you'd pick-up the M1 from J35a or thats where I'd arrange to meet you anyway at the Shell Petrol station or somewhere similar maybe? Will ride over the A616 via Holmfirth... Well I'll speak to you both on Sat. PM..

Sounds like a mega plan that Ian a nice warm BBQ.. MMM getting hungry again..

having never been to Mallory, will I / we be able to get us bikes near to the paddock area or whereever you guys are parking?
 
You can't get near to the paddock, I'm afraid, it's located in the centre of the circuit and there's no bridge or tunnel access either.

Good luck to you guys racing this year, I've spectated at Mallory once and it looks a right hairy place at the hairpin / chicane and a corner called the devils elbow is never gonna be easy!

Pick your landing spots with care guys ;)

You won't be able to get into the paddock as it's inside the circuit, but you can park up and cross over a footbridge and into the paddock to find us :)

We will be parked up at the bottom of the hill just behind one of the white buildings and along from the Cafe. Look for a big white mercedes motorhome, white Vito and a red tent :)

Steve, I have some paddock passes if you need them send me a pm and I will sort them for you (free of charge but you have to stand at a corner of my choosing and wave a flag with Martin H on it everytime I pass by ;) )
