Desmosedici RR First Test!

The Desmo what??

By the time they eventually get it into production and out to us customers they will be ready to launch the 800 version!

Shambolic!

But where is the Hond V5 that is being made, you cannot produce a current MotoGP machine as they are prototype only.

The small shed in Italy is currently the ONLY manufacturer to produce something like this.

Fergie is always grumpy on this topic (actually all topics.....:lol2: ). i was excited to see that they've built 2. if they are giving them to the MCN journos to try, then the punter's versions must now be close. bring it on!

m

And those 2 bikes are now on their way to the states for the journo's there to try them.

@@@@ers!

as long as they aren't the same ones that they flog to you and me Scottch. i reckon that they should cut and shut them after they've been hi and low sided a few times in the US and make a new one off special for delivery to Fergie. He'll love it.

MCN rave about it, but not as an average road bike (not thats its designed as an average road bike either of course) sounds like its well worth the wait.

I can't wait to see and HEAR one. You lucky folk who have one coming.

I reckon if you pushed it a bit more you could beat that. :)

I know! Why not have a sweep for the DUN members to guess how quickly you can do it? £5-a-skull, winner takes all.

i am wetting my pants in anticipation after that video. had a letter from Martin at DG today saying "look at the interweb for details of the Desmo RR". shame i placed my order after september 2006, so i'm not in the first wave - winter 2007/08. scot, gis a go on yours and u can have a go on mine (when i get it). i am after a cherished number for mine. do you think RR16DUC, DUC16R, DES16R, DUC16R and the like will have gone already?

oddly i have R1 MRR on a car since 1998. any yamaha owners called martin richard roberts out there? look out for me also on HD55 ROD when i'm feeling like a gay cowboy (as my wife calls me).

m

Is mine suddenly the @@@@in demonstrator or something? :p

And I won't comment on your R1MmeRR numberplate either!! ;)

You must be either really excited or gutted watching yours being the bike that all the journo's get to thrash around :p

MCN love the bike and say that the best place for it is on the track and won't come close riding it on the road! A 1098 is an armchair in comparison! They say it is 50kg heavier than the Gp6 it's based on, surely a mistake there? More like it should be 5kg which considering the only difference are the brake discs and mirrors:) Does it have a cat? If you buy one and stand it in the front room for 3 years will you lose the servicing? As for numberplates I have 989 GWY ready to go on one:)
