the show goes on...

it seems that this should be the new model which will be presented in milan later this year.

oh well we got a years grace :D, its is going to be interesting marketing, race bred, performace led, aspirational cruisers, best get a load of the white stuff ready for those marketing meetings, they'll need it :D

I dont know what to make of it really? The only other bike i think it compare's to is yam's new v-max and even i quite like that because its not a criuser in the same sense as harley gonowheresome :D if they give it enough bhp to be up and around the v-max then i think it would be a success and it would prob look better than any cruisers on the market just now.

Edit* also the yam's got a price tag of about 20K thats not mutch different to any other duke?

I'm interested to know what engine is in it, 1200 cc aint big enough for that grunt class if its to compete with a vmax so they'll need something totally new, it seems mad to do that given engine dev costs and potential market size ???

its got to be a v rod competitor methinks but I cant work out why??

yeah its not like the v rod has ever challenged anything ducati has to offer?

I know that deep down inside you really want one Paul ;)

In anticipation of our conversion to leather-chap-wearing one percenters, it's time to resurrect this link and use it to generate your outlaw biker name:

http://www.ratbike.org/motorcycho/outlawname.php

From now on, just call me...

Knucklehead of the White Werewolfes MC

(and no, I won't be waving at anyone not on the same brand of bike and/or wearing a bandana )

:D:D:D

I'll be gone for a while, popping out to get my newly embroidered patch sewn on me cut off denim jacket, dont you go messing when Ol' Bug Brain of the Evil Inlaws MC is away :)

Nice Buell - now where's that Ducati

F'ck I can see what happened now, a few years ago when HD were trying to buy Ducati to add to Buell and it fell through the ducati execs thought, "hmm HD have money maybe we need to make cruisers like they do to make lots of money as well and HD make lots from licensing lifestyle tat" so here we are today - Buell lookalike and trainers

does someone want to pop into the board room and tell them Buell no longer exist and HD are haemorrhaging money? No?, OK just keep doing what they say then Luigi

ERMMMM STRANGELY Enough I am starting to like the looks of this!!!!!!

visit to Carstairs required for me I think

Would someone in Ducati PLEASE take the cocaine, speed, acid and the leftover methedrone away from the design dept please!

What a fkin embarrassment!

hehehe, its actually the first Ducati in a long time I could honestly say I would buy if I could afford one, looks feckin mint

It looks pants!!! Let Hardly Dangerous carry on with their filling loosners and let Yamaha carry on with the ludicrous V Max and come on Ducati get back to what you know!!!!

this was also the general opinion when first the 749/999 range was introduced :D

The difference was that no matter what Ducati did it was not going to be a 916, they had to move on and the 999 was a bold attempt to keep them ahead of the Japanese, rightly or wrongly but at least they tried but what it proved was that you have to give your customer base what they want :(. This is quite the opposite (as have most of the designs since PT got sacked) in that it follows fashion and doesn't set it , sales and marketing led design in an area they have no credibility in or customer base to sell to. It'll be interesting to see if it goes as well as the streetfighter.... and to think they kicked the ST and supersport series cos they had limited appeal......
