Have to say i was impressed last week whilst my machine was in for some work to be done.........

Unlike 2 weeks previously before Martyn left.........Now before you all jump on me dont get me wrong i like Martyn as a person, but i was told a few Porkies along the course of his last weeks at DM....

My warranty stuff arrived great..lets have it on....Booked my bike in a week in advance with Martyn....Day before its due to go in i ring to double check...."oh 5hit forgot you were coming..we are busy can you book it in again" Now being self employed i was a bit pi55ed off..
Rebooked for following Tuesday after Martyns, deprture.
Ring again on Friday & speak to Adam rechecking for Tues...."I dont have you booked in at all " . Now i am really pi55ed , perhaps Martyn had other thing on his mind like getting Troys autograph at donny i dont know ....

Arrived Tuesday to be greeted warmly . New boss John running around sorting stuff.....

And they did,nt even know what my bike was in for........How good is that for Martyn to pass this on....

Anyway top job fron the lads & done in a speedy & professional way

WELL DONE.........

PS i did PM you Martyn to get a reply , but got nowt.....so assumed you could,nt be ar5ed

A friend of mine is 1 of the mechanics and he and his mate are very good and thorough. Unfortunately its just some of the other stuff that happens at DM that lets them down..

I've been there, done that, experienced crap reception service etc not necessarily by Martyn and have the T-shirt to prove it...

All I say from experience and what i've heard (not from employees, but other customers) is that DM have a reputation to rebuild and the sooner they do it the longer they'll stay in profit and business !!!!!!

Ducati Leeds get my business these days simply because nothing is too much trouble and it helps when you know the 3 most important and influencing people (Charlie Jagger, Derek- desmodegsy and Jane)... If theres an issue they simply pick up the phone and are as honest as possible..

P.S the 1 thing about Martyn748 whilst at DM is that whenever I asked him for help or something doing he was honest and fair about things (something I didn't feel customers got from DM previously). Now that he's nolonger there I find he's more relaxed, happy and on last Fridays rideout good fun to be around. Had hoped to run into him on Sunday, but he had a petrol issue I think? and we'd already left Hartside by 1.30ish or so.. Sorry mate...

MMM no Pm on here either, but if we are just copying and pasting on every forum here goes............

oh dear then, looks like I am the bad one.

Glad you have gotten good service, the guys (and girl) in there know what they are doing.

Never said I had forgotten you were coming in, I said we were busy as a few jobs had gone wrong and I would not want to keep your bike over the week end as I am sure you would be rather riding it. Nothing else on my mind which is why I rang to remind, no remind is the wrong word. I cared and still do care about the customers there.

I am so glad that you have come on to heap praise for a change, it is far too easy to criticise behind the comfort of a PC. I hope to still take rideouts, like last Friday and Sunday. see you sson

mmm strange . I have a copy of said PM sat there right in my sent box.Admin please check to confirm..........

Yes i have copied & pasted. Is that a problem ???

And yes you did say you had forgotten . I would not have taken a day off work & put off customers for a days Jolly........& who did all the ringing I can scan a copy of my mobile bill if you want.......I am not a liar & i will admit if i am in the wrong which on this occasion i am not.

Yes i am praising them for the work carried out, but if it was 5hite i would have posted that also , just as this post..& i would like to know what you are getting at with your "for a change" remark.

Well I never got the pm, send it again and I will reply.

As long as you are now happy I am delighted. What has gone is exactly that, I am not getting into he said she said as it is in my opinion not what forums are for.
I look forward to seeing both you and your bike out riding and having a laugh somewhere, and soon.

You are right forums are not for that & so cant be ar5ed....
They are however there to tell people of good & bad service & i,m sure you will agree on this occasion i was treated like 5hite......I am a paying customer & as such deserve respect as much as the next man.....Just because it is warranty work i got shoved to the back......

Never met him, or been to DM but who cares.

Warranty work is the main dealers dripping roast. They get paid quicker and the labour rates are often more than retail.

As for having a go. PM the guy. If he does not want to reply then fair enough. This is not the right place for a character assasination.

There is definately a pattern developing here. If you work at a dealer then leave you get the vitual @@@@ kicked out of you! By all means tell us of generally bad happenings at a dealer but perhaps not of individuals. If the stuff is happening then its up to the Dealer Principal to deal with staff issues.

in my experience there is definately three sides to the coin/story.

2p worth given.:D

Excuse me but is this a forum or not......

Do people want to know if they have received good service.....

Is it my fault that a person who worked there is a member on this site...

If thats the case i wont bother anymore......Freedom of speech ...8ollocks..

And yes he may be a very nice man, as i know he is , but 5hit service derserves to be known..........

End of rant ................

Perhaps we should have a poll to see if good or bad service is allowed on the forum anymore. or is it a closed shop, seem to be finding a pattern on the ducati forums, perhaps i dont have enough money , or dont meet up enough

Actually, no I won't excuse you.

You are a very astute individual. This IS a forum.

As for your other comments. I won't address them all as you are obviously upset and adding fuel to your fire just makes the point burn brighter.

But, the guy worked for a company and a personal remark over a business issue is un-professional and unnecessary. How do you know that it was all his fault? Perhaps the powers at DM made it difficult for him to meet or even exceed your expectations? Have you paused to consider that?

And your comments about meeting up and not having enough money???FFS.

Ask for more pocket money and if your Mum lets you out of your room when you stop sulking gimme a call and we can go for a run. :D

You mean the reality of my bike not actually being booked in by writing it in a book........Dont think they would have stopped potential work

Ok. So they forgot. Not the first time. Won't be the last time.

As for the blow it comment, It would be appreciated if you edit that post please.

...

Hi All

Would like to mention that I think that Fergie has a very valued point here, as I tried to say but in a long winded kind'a way.......

Sorry that this has all blown up on my account, Blackie is entitled to his opinion and I am not going to stoke the fire by events from my side, it is history, I will accept responsibility as it was my job, whoever I passed the resposibility to i was always accountable, for everything. I am glad that he had a good experiance and I hope many more to come. One thing about forums is the words written do not give the tone of voice and easily blow up, i am sure when we meet again we will get both sides across over a beer, on me.

If we are not on the bikes as much as we can handle. Come to a Ducati do, i am famed for my special drinks....................

What exactly are you implying

Sliv is just a home made little something that the lovely Lucy brings back from Prague where her dad makes it in his shed.

Blue Bols also had Benedictine and JD with it, if my memory serves.........
