Most distressing hearing about somebody's pride and joy go on fire at the filling station at Montrose...Wasn't one of the members I hope? More importantly, I hope nobody was hurt x

You can relax Debbie. It was my son's 1098, the oil drain hose from the airbox had come loose and touched the exhaust. When he stopped at the filling station it got hot enough to burst into flames. Fortunately he got it out quickly with the extinguisher on the forecourt, the assistants didn't know how to use it 
No damage done except for a bit of scorching in the lower fairing, invisible from the outside. He'll be more careful to see that the drain hose is well secured away from the exhaust in future.
And yes he is an SDC member, just doesn't participate in DuN
