Ducati to unveil nine new models at EICMA

That would look more believable if it was green :puke:

Looks like a photoshop experiment but with far too many angles and straight lines to even remotely get near the current Ducati styling

  • Presentation of Ducati 2016 model range also to go ahead on live web feed
  • Ducati World Première 2016, Monday 16 November, to precede the opening of EICMA 2015
  • Enthusiasts from all over the world will be able to link up via the internet
Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 9 October 2015 –
The countdown to the Ducati World Première 2016 – the official presentation of Ducati models for the coming season – has begun. The event will begin at 4 p.m. on Monday 16 November, the day before EICMA 2015 opens its doors to the press.

As in 2015, the Ducati World Première will be streamed live on the web, where Ducatisti all over the world will be able to experience the unveiling of the latest Ducati bikes for 2016 as it happens.

The very latest models, together with the new Monster 1200 R already presented at the Frankfurt IAA, plus the full range of Ducati accessories and apparel, will be exhibited to the public at the 73rd International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA 2015) at the Fiera di Milano exhibition area in Rho from 19 to 22 November.

Further details on the Ducati World Première 2016 will be released over the coming weeks.
To follow the event just go to the dedicated Ducati web page at http://premiere.ducati.com

No indicators give the game away a bit though. Still, it is a great idea.

New Scrambler coming - but not what was expected!

Bolognatoday is reporting that Ducati worked in collaboration with Italwin to develop a Fat-Bike complete with electric motor which should top out at a brain bending 25 km/h from it's 250W motor and 26V 11Ah battery.

And more here

It looks just like the current 800 to me but I guess that's not surprising since it's just a smaller version of the same engine. However looking carefully at the gallery pictures you can see that the forks are conventional "right way up", the exhaust headers are different, the mirrors are round and the swinging arm appears to be slimmer. The picture though is of a prototype and what it ends up as at production time could be quite different.

400cc Scrambler genius and what a great entry machine for the brand, will be really interesting to see the Enduro tested alongside the big KTM's and Beemer, 157BHP in a mid range Panigale - thats Superbike power from just a few years ago that will be interesting to see as well.

However I'm surprising myself here but I am Love ing the Mad Diavel - I fully appreciate that Ducati have taken what was already a Marmite toastie and stuffed it full of Pastrami and Olives - but wow that looks incredible - can't accuse Borgo Panigale of not having any imagination!

The Diavel could have done with some fat blade type forks like a Vincent but with modern damping - that's imagination that is!

The Diavel X looks some tool, that will sell big in USA.Reminds me of the Yamaha V Max of many years ago, fastest thing in a straight line.

I was hoping for a single Scrambler or new ST  so sadly nothing there to make me part with my cash :ohwell:

In case you missed the presentation here's the whole thing

Love the new Diavel. Scrambler 400 inspired for the up and coming. 959?? Was thinking of an upgrade, but will definitely be sticking to my 899. Emission compliant yes. Ruined the looks of a beautiful machine..Defintely (my opinion, but alot are sharing it with those awaful exhausts). Flying over on Thursday to the EICMA, so will post my piccies related to the Duc's upon my return

Just had a look around EICMA as I managed to get a pass for the Trade Day. The only innovation trend at the show seemed to be in Electric bikes of all types. On the Ducati stand I think the little Scrambler is a great idea, honestly that Diavel...
I know I'm a dinosaur as I believe Ducati's best work was the Bevels and belts up to the 916. That Diavel to my eyes is a crime.

Anyway, on a lighter note I leave you with some non Ducati related pics.
