A very big thumbs up to Evans Cycles https://www.evanscycles.com/
I always try to shop with independents where possible but earlier this year I wanted a specific hybrid electric bike and my local indy bicycle shop couldn`t get one and Evans not only had them but also at a cracking price. But wait, there`s more ! Not only did my local Evans hold the bike for a few weeks for me but they flatly refused to take a deposit, on collection day they took the trouble to run through everything battery related with me, they called me few days later to check I was happy with it , carried out a 12 week check over/first service FOC and were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic at all times. Bastards !
And in what can only be described as a bizarre twist I bought the same bike as @PerryL has and I believe it is the only non booze related item he has avoided describing as shit. He is right ( never thought I`d say that) as its actually very good.
