Getting Ducati Accessories on new bike...cost to fit

Hi,

Just wondering. I am thinking of purchasing a new Ducati and costing it up on the web. The list price of Ducati accessories is available, e.g engine protection bars, should I expect to get these at list price or should it be list price PLUS a fitting fee?

I bought a new monster last year from DMC moto down in Preston & asked them to fit a 14 tooth front spocket instead of the 15 it comes with, they fitted that for free, now i know it doesn't take long to fit a sprocket while it was getting PDI'd but all i paid for was the part, surely as part of the deal of buying it you can swing free labour. good luck, enjoy new bike when it arrives.:thumbs:
 
Thanks for that...At the end of the day its about total cost to change but just wondering as in talking to them their numbers seem to be a lot more than the base part cost....Not really up to paying Ducati technician rates to fit a topbox etc.

It would be a cheaper option to purchase a socket set and some spanners and allen keys. Clockwise to tighten anti clockwise to slacken. You may surprise yourself on how easy things are to do and you will be learning something about your bike in the process. That's tuppence worth for free! :lol2:

I suppose it depends on the dealer and accessories.
If you are buying a bike from the dealer, give them a phone and have a discussion about fitting some extras for you, I am sure they would be happy to help if they are helping with the sale, and within reason.
