Added up all the DP Carbon on the bike, it adds up to a stupid amount of £££££:comp2: There was a article in MCN with regard to disclosing modifications made to your pride and joy, over and above standard. If you do not advise them then they may not pay out in the event of a claim.
My insurance is with Carole Nash, they advised me to take out custom bike insurance and list all the mods made over and above standard, this is also a dual bike policy, my bike is currently covered but awaiting their final acceptance of the bike valuation.
They request photos of the bike so they have a record of the mods made, it makes sence and stops fraud claims.

DP carbon is a stupid price, but other companies make lighter & better products. I bought a lot of mine on e-bay from the states. The £ against the dollar was spot on & I got everything for 1/2 price, even with delivery back to Scotland.
A powerbronze carbon fibre rad cover was 1/3rd of the price even being sent from California.

That's the way to go Chiz, i just dread to know how much the rad cover would be:eek:

My 51 year old back has no problems with my 848. No issues at all. Cracking bike. Get on down & spend the ££££££;););):D

Or in your case the $$$$$$$$$$$$

50 year old back!!!! I can nearly give you a decade and I love my 848. One of the most comfortable bikes I've ever ridden. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.:D

Are there any good suppliers that supply black clutch covers, any ideas?

When we were in Misano there was a display of clutch covers upstairs in the shop and there was a gorgeous matt black one. I'm sure it was for the 848/1098/1198 and it wasn't too expensive.:D

I advertised a black clutch cover a while ago.... still got it if you are interested...

Thanks Paul but as Steve commented the 848 has a wet clutch, very messy:comp2:

Nice bit of kit tho

Is it really that shiny?

The cover is shiny yes but also are the carbon bits on my bike. Unlike the new Stealth Evo Dark the std 848 Dark is how can i say not as Dark, with the Carbon it gives it a blend of matt and gloss finishes, a contrast.
So i suppose i haven't gone fully Over to the Dark Side.
