LOL, still got 2 guests on DuN at 4.20 AM, not a cloud in the sky this morning, blue sky is showing through, all is dry. FREAK, STAY IN BED !
 
If you're planning on saying hello he's in garage 20 and apparently he has slight issues down below, that brown adrenaline has hit him 4 times so far when he texted me this morning :o

Many thanks to Freak, Lily, Alane, MartinH for making the effort to come and say hello, it was great to see you all, also good to meet Toppitoo and Gbyte from the DSC.

Met a prospective DuNer who shared our garage, Lee lives in Wrexham and has a very nice collection of Ducatis.

Did I mention how awesome Oulton Park is !

WeeJohneyBee, great bloke, great instructor and very good honest feedback, that you can understand and work on, No-Limits, well what can you say, excellent organisation, full marks !

You know, I was outside today fettling with the Duc in glorious sunshine (in the Highlands!!) and I was thinking of this guy whom I've never met, thrashing round Oulton on a Ducati!!!

Enough now, I was on track, it was a glorious day, at a glorious track, couldn't say enough good things about No-Limits, spot on, great briefing, great instruction, loads of track time, no dickheads that I saw just a great crowd of riders !
 
really pleased you had a great day Ian. You looked so stoked to be there today and the weather was holding for you I was very jealous.

Alane, sneakily recorded some times aswell, best was 2.16, constant was 2.28, I am sure I went faster with WJB, must stop resting and pass folks quicker as WJB said I was far to polite !

Shocking to think the BSB boys are going round at 1.35 !
 
You seemed to be enjoying yourself Ian! You were smiling a lot more than the poor bloke whos R6 was deposited in the next garage in about 100 pieces! Enjoyed my little visit to spectate and its got me wanting to get out there myself. I timed you at 2.16 as well and also timed a few in the intermediates who were running similar and slower times so I think you and me will be ok come end of June.

Must share a garage with you as you had enough food and drink to cater for the entire paddock.

What a fantastic bit of weather you had today. I got a red head now (phnaar, phnaar).
The day started off pretty normal for me with no intention of going anywhere other than a desk. But with the blue skies beckoning I just happened to sneak over to DUN and saw Dseered was planning a day out at Oulton - so that was that, and off I trundled to give moral support. Ahhhh, the life of a contractor.
After picking the bike up I snook in at about 12:30 and stood trackside to see if the flying Kendalian(?) was on site. Needless to say I recognised him as soon as I saw the white booties and wheels and number board.
Just about same time as Ian came back into the pits young Lily showed up and big smiles all round - but no cookies. Still, as Martin said Ian had enough grub to feed the paddock, and the spectators, and the marshalls, and maybe enough left over for the trip back as well.
Yep, Martin timed Ian at 2:16 and confirmed with my time. That was the lap when you were playing catch me with the No Limits instructor.
The following laps in that session were 2:21, 2:27 etcetera.
Final session saw you constantly at 2:28, although I did get a little mixed up at one point and told JPM you were lapping at 1:28 - should have seen the look on his face!.
Dseered - is your face aching yet - cos you didn't stop grinning all afternoon. Good to see everyone enjoying themselves and apart from the kid on the new R6 I think everyone emerged unscathed.
Definitely recommend Oulton as a de-stress prescription - even if you're not on the track - and if you can get there with any of todays visitors, then it's a bonus.

Ham buns - now that's an image to conjure with! Glad you had a good day. My first trackday experience was with the same company and it was a good day. I too love the circuit. My day then consisted of get up, get bike out and kit on, ride there, have the thrash, and ride back. Bought my food there and had a whale of a time. Might come on the one at the end of the month if there's room.

If you are interested int he no limits day on the 28th I would book asap as it is likely to fill up if it has not already.

I think there are about 15 ducatis already going so it should be a good giggle!!
 
There's at least 23 Ducati's from memory so far...

Twas a good day, sun was shining and everyone seemed to be having fun (apart from R6 boy... I'll post a photo)

Good to see everyone and have the craic with peeps, as Alan says for a moment I thought Lavilla has snook out on your bike, put your leathers on with the time he gave me :o
 
Lil and Freak - just booked it, see you there! For information, there are 6 places left in fast group (that's where I've had to go, would have preferred inters but you have to play with the big boys sometime) at 1409 Thurs.

Good idea, I can have a word with Mark or WJB and see what can be done, but alot is down to Oulton Park themselves. It might be easier to get one or two there early and get a few garages together
 
I am sure Mark will oblige, 4 bikes per garage say, when it comes to it most booked that far in advance it has got to be worth his while to do it ???

WJB is going to get an awesome write up from me, if ever I can get on the DSC ! For anyone here going on June 28th, go see the man, his critique is very good, he will tell you where you are going wrong, what you are doing right and point you in the right direction. Well worthwhile and free !
