How many of a certain model left on the road?

Its been discussed on other sites. the database is only as accurate as the info input, if a bike wasnt listed correctly on a V5 it will always show as the model it was registered as. Pre 2000 seems worse and for many older models you cant get anywhere near accurate on the likes of 916, 916SPS etc as the input data is out plus you've got a lot of grey imports.

Later models are better, I've got quite a rare model of new Alfa and its accurately described in the database and on my V5 and the number looks correct as I know Alfa only brought a handful in.

All the database can show accurately is trends as bikes come on and off roads and as a guide to whats still around, nowt else :(

Surely can't be right: 4 851s and only 1 888 Strada??

its not accurate, see my comments above, garbage in, garbage out post 2000 gets a bit more accurate as more registrations became computerised. before that its a waste of time.

All bikes had a model of "2 wheeled bicycle" for years, perhaps this explains the discrepancy ??

I've been searching the HowManyLeft site a lot over the weekend - apparently only 82 998 Bips registered in 2003 - doesn't sound unreasonable but makes mine rarer than I first thought.

you may not like the yellow,
but my 998s 02 genuine mono, one of only seven registered in the u.k.,
how many are left :)
