Folks if any of you own one or do know any one or maybe you have one lying in the back of your garage etc then please take a look at the ducatipaso.org site as folks there are trying to compile numbers of folk still riding on 16" wheels as they are attempting to get some new tyres produced.

This is a worldwide thing with folks in Australia/Japan/Finland/Italy and the States and Canada plus the Uk looking at this problem which may soon see these specific models soon off the road due to lack of tyres or the subject of a massive alteration.

The thread starts thus http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2858

If you own one of these models then you will appreciate what I am talking about.

Owners of the early GPz900R will inevitably be part of the same victim group. There must also be other manufacturers that produced models with 16" wheels when they were fashionable, if those owner groups were all canvassed, there'd certainly be quite a number that once unified, would be pretty irresistible to a couple of tyre manufacturers - if not, just one. Good luck

I have been racing mopeds for years (see avatar) and this has been an ongoing problem getting decent rubber...

Bridgstone stopped making their BT39SSs which was great tyre but you cant get them now....

paso tyres

i think the main problem in getting the front tyres is that they are so wide 130/60/16 ,the ones for the gpz900 is a 120/80/16 which is still reasonably available .:)

Yes, 750 Sport had 16".

The 750 Sport was had the same wheels/engine etc as the 750 Paso.

900SS had the 17".
