OMG - without being too dramatic, I've just had the best weekend of my LIFE EVER, words can't describe it.... AWESOME understates it, UTTERLY FANTASTIC doesn't cover it. Day One was easy going, learning the track and getting the feel of the amazing track... and it was extremely hot too. Day too and the cloud cover kept IT PERFECT... day two was BALLS TO THE WALLS. I have NEVER riden faster or smoother. Day three started rainy but then dried up, after the warm up laps I knew I was in for a good day... but then the rain came. Trouble is I was soo obsessed by this time I just DIDN'T SEE IT. The visor had been highly polished and the rain didn't show... Lap three with ballsy overtake off the back straight saw traction control working for it's money... then I realised I was on 100% SOAKING WET track.... time for bed zebedee, and that sadly saw the heavens open and Jerez 2008 was cut short.
Sadly guys, it wasn't incident free, some of team Scotland had "offs", but that's not for me to talk about, if these guys want to, it's up to them. For me the vital thing is we're all safe and talking about it... bikes can be fixed.
I'm booking up for next year, Jerez both May and September this time. I'm going to ask Martin to post a notice at DG, I would suggest we meet there sometime before the end of the year, and plan a series of overseas track days, and some local ones too.... yes indeed, I'm HOOKED..... BIG TIME.
This is better than sex with Keira Knightley.... although that would be a good way to FINISH the day
Anyway... here I am... red and black leathers was day ONE, red white and blue leathers was day TWO.
