Kawasaki KR1000 Endurance Replica

I found it last night. I thought it was an interesting reflection of the idea of the KR but just far to many things didn't "blend" if that makes sense?

In that version its build lacked fluidity in the blending of old and new and agree with exi, you spend more time looking at it thinking, something just doesn't look right. I'm sure the builder put thier heart and soul into it and clearly someone has put a lot of effort into it.

By comparisson, exi's build is more fluid throughtout and blends in a way that makes you appreciate the 10 years 🤭, of planning which has turned out a truly exceptional version of modern meets old, whilst still maintaining an homage to the original KR1000 and is a far better bike for it.

For me the seat is wrong.....so too much space over and around rear wheel ....making it look like a mini bike rear has been grafted on .....

The Svelte one is the master .... All hail the master !! ......

Might be needing new belts for the S2R soon .....cough ....

There's a Moto Martin one too which looks all wrong in terms of being a 'replica' and not just a paint job which these are. one of the reasons I built this is that it had never been done before as a direct copy of the frame and tank along with the exhaust exit and single sided shock. The guy in Germany who replicated one in terms of body work only and again not frame / tank / shock and exhaust exit was a great start for the fairing and seat unit for me.
Following my build I have inspired an ex racer of that period to also build one who I am assisting as far is possible over the phone :)

It's a shame they have done this to a HArris F1 frame as they are really rare bikes and shouldn't be trying to be something else entirely IMHO...

Mine wouldn't be for sale for £50K let alone £18.250 - in fact £100k wouldn't prise it off me 💰💰💰💰💰

I also see Kawasaki have copied me copying them too with their impending KR900, albeit in a paint scheme only of the '82 bike and not the '81 bike which I much prefer 😇

It's a H2R 2 Stroke seat unit copy I think.

There's even one for our @Chizel - Founding Father

And none of these pretenders fitted a scitsu tacho ...... for me that or a motoplat is essential......

His first Orange County Rep was 11 years, his current is heading for 20 years - all in all I guess mine was a total of about 11 weeks  which is going some really 🥵
Eleven weeks, thats fast.

It's a good job you were able to obtain a frame that was pre-fabricated when you started the build or it would have taken much longer!
