knockhill duffus dip

Took the bike for a ride to knockhill yesterday to have a look at the first corner. It looks mental, christ knows what speed you'll be coming into McIntyres at. Riding it on Saturday, ( if the snow stays off ), so will post again to say what its like. :D
 
:confused: Why what have they done?I thought they had just resurfaced the track and added width to the start/finish straight(for the touring cars)...Anyway will see it on sat at the first practise for the Scottish....Remember no 9 David Stanger and no 16 Mark Fairgreive in the sports production:thumbs:
 
let me see if I get this correct. Along with the resurfacing and widening they have moved the apex of Duffus. This basically means the corner is a lot straighter and faster... should be interesting, reckon all the accidents will be McIntryes as your going to be going a rate of knots into it....

Are you riding the track on Saturday?

Im fingers crossed it goes ahead, desperate to get out on it, but if this snow comes well, plus its so dam cold and I dont have any tyre warmers yet.... its not the cost of the warmers thats the problem, its the cost of the generator... oh well.... if your up their look out for a black zxr400..... and a guy shivering his backside off inside Blue Alpine Star Leathers and that would be moi.....

I've done a few trackdays up there on a few of my old track bikes and that corner was always a tricky one for me, i'm looking forward to getting up there and seeing what they've done.

I also guess the lap record might take a hiding this year at BSB!:) :cool:
 
No I'm the fat chap at the back on trackdays!!! I run a team of 3 riders 2 on R1's in the sports production and 1 on 400 honda in the production class..I don't think the apex has changed at all because the widening comes back in before the corner...We will see eh??

Russ Meyer maybe....Nudie vixens oh yes...Practise @Knockhill next sat and east fortune on the sun...1st round of the Scottish on the 9th of April so if you are in the paddock say hello(bring your own biscuits)...
