So I picked this up today. Is a Cadet/Mountaineer motor circa 1964. It fitted nicely in the topbox of my mentalstrada. Where is the rest of it? Was hoping someone could help me with that!
I have a lead on a frame, rolling, poss with tank and guards, hard to tell as the current owner can't be arsed sorting thru all his junk to actually confirm. He has a shed full of stuff so not criticising, just that is the way it is at the moment. Will be an actual barn find as opposed to a bike that has been stored. I am hoping to visit him in feb on my way back from the south island trip we have plannedView attachment 93803View attachment 93804View attachment 93805
Deffo, if he's not worked on one before he only charges for parts as it's a learning experienceMaybe I should send the whole plot to @West Cork Paul?

About 40 hours work in that so I have corrected your typoIf you don't mind getting it in 2024, you could always send it to exi![]()
@Laava check on Trademe, I think I saw some Cadet W/Shop and other manuals for sale on there the other day.
Ministry of transport?Ok, Noobie posted a link and he is on ebay selling one. Based in the Mot.
How's it cleaning up?I made an electrolysis bath. This is experimental for me, esp given the messy state of the tank. But it’s all good, drawing five amps and bubbling away

How's it cleaning up?
TBH, not holding out much hope for it. It has been lying on the ground for years and has rusticles. This is more of an experiment at this stage.Ministry of transport?

The guy with the tank in the UK just flat out refused to post to NZ. What difference does it make? He just finds out the cost, adds it on, and chucks it in a box and drops it off, surely? Weird…Have you seen this chap? it says it's in NZ
and one of these in the uk

Motorbike Petrol Fuel Tank Ducati Cadet & other Motorcycles Vintage & Rare | eBay
The petrol cap is the original for this tank and works as it should. I believe its from a Ducati single most probably the Cadet 100 but it will fit others Ducati models and other motorbikes from this era which would be around 1966ish.www.ebay.co.uk
This chap is in italy and seems to have a few cadet etc parts, at a price.
