Loenzo stats at Yamaha - where does that leave Ducati?

Confirmation that Jorge Lorenzo would stay at Yamaha was released yesterday, despite Marlboro/Ducati's attempt to lure him he decided to stick with Yamaha throwing away a hefty pay increase in the process. His decision was made as he's been promised equal no1 status with Vale getting same parts/bikes for rest of this season and next. Personally I can't see it'll make a difference being number 1 goes to the rider who leads the table not an equal garage :)

Anyway the question now is where does that leave Ducati? The rumours continue that Stoner might move or even stop racing for a bit, Hayden has to be p1ssed that his seat was going to be given to Lorenzo so expect the silly season rumours to continue with more crazy moves.

I'd like to see Ducati keep Hayden and get the D16RR developed into a more easily managed package so in some ways not having Casey might be a short term negative but long term could mean more riders can be competitive on it. No doubt this weekend will add more fuel to the Casey moving/retiring rumours though....

Up a creek without a paddle.

I'd offer to develop it for them, but I'm busy this weekend :)
