I see that a lot of owners who have 749's have the termignoni exhausts. Do these make any difference with sound and performance? Where sells them and fits em near Manchester area too?

Can't really speak for 749s other than what I've heard, which is all good, but I have some Titanium 54mm termis on my 998 & the sound is awesome, they give a few more horses(everywhere, not just at the top end) too in conjunction with the correct chip.

The 749s I've seen with them look & sound fantastic. Anyway, it's a Ducati, you have to fit Termis, it's the law!

Try Italsport in Bury, cheaper than Ducati Manchester, just up the road from J2 M66 0161 797 6124. Nice guys & helpful. Do a lot of racebikes so they know what works performance wise.

everyone who I ride out comments on how good mine sounds with assymetric system on, cant tell myself but is definately loud! (or at least it was :comp2: )

If you're getting a 749 with the later s/arm I've got a termi system for sale if you're interested ;)

Hi, Freak, I might be interested in your system. What kind of money are you looking for? and, would I have to make any other mods, and, would it affect the warranty? (bike is a an 06 on a 56 plate)
Cheers

In my opinion the Zard system for the 749 looks much better than the Termignoni system, not heard one but they look very, very good !

No self-respecting person would ride a Ducati without Termis or Zard fitted, perish the thought!

I agree with you Ian, the Zard system look a lot better than the Termis on the 749 and the Zard system that they have made for the Monster looks a lot better too:)

but didn't you have Termis on both your bikes?

I think Ian (DCR) just ran a system on his 749 without any mods so it can just be simply fitted, by rights you need the race ECU but these are coded to the bike and cost £££ my exhaust has come off my 999R so even if the ECU was in the box I doubt it would work with a 749 anyway. What you really need is a PC3 (power commander) and get the bike dyno'd to suit far better than the race ECU anyway you can pick these up for around 150-175 quid from Ebay new.

As for my exhaust is consists of the actual silencer box (brand new replaced under warranty) carbon fibre heat shield and front cylinder pipe (no cat) you use the standard rear cylinder pipe you already have.

I'm looking for £500 for the lot which is cheap as chips :D

Price looks good. There is a guy in Longtown, Cumbria that does the dyno business, I will check out with him what it would cost, he will probably supply the power commander too. I will get back to you once I know.
Thanks.
