Apologies in advance for what will be sporadic progress on this build, I work in Holland during the week and it's only fair that I only have 'garage time' when herself is at work.

first job done, stripped the donor engine for the charger specific parts:

Charger drive is taken from the clutch via some nicely CNCd components including the cover itself:

Tensioner #1 also mounted on nicely made bracket:

The belt is routed via rollers mounted on a machined horizontal timing belt cover:

This cover is mounted on another beautifully machined backing plate which replaces the stock timing belt backing plate:

VP, not for the first incarnation, the blower is currently set to deliver 7psi which allows me to leave the CR as std. The bike this came off, a Super Squalo, was measured at 202 hp at the wheel on 7 psi and std internals. Once I've got her up and running on this first build and ironed any glitches I might just go a bit (more?) mental and prep it for 1 bar and see what happens?

Derek, they are beautifully made, and so they should be, the supposed original cost of the conversion would have been in the region of 8 grand!!

Not too much to report this week, stuffed with the 'Man-flu' so wasn't feeling terribly productive!

Still, managed to make a start on bike side of things.

All her claes aff!

And that's it!

One of the bellmouths on the throttlebodies is stuck solid (A result of lying unloved in a garden for 2 years before I got her I suspect) so probably going to have to cut it to get the airbox assembly off so at this time I dinny ken if the charger/plenum assembly will fit the monster frame without modification? That's next week's job, hopefully I'll not be a snotty mess & feeling sorry for myself so might make some real progress on the build, maybe's even have this bezzler in!

Cheers Y' all!

I've come across seized on bellmouths 2 or3 times, usually the front one which is more exposed to the elements and is harder to get at. I've managed to get them loose with a small chain wrench that will fit between the bottom of the airbox and the lip of the bellmouth.

Failing that, if you can get access to the bottom of the airbox, a hammer with a long drift against the locating pegs can be used to gently persuade them to move. Worth a try before having to cut the airbox off.

Dont have a lot to add to this other than watching how this goes with some interest.

Do you plan to get rid of that cat at some stage too?

Hi Dave,
Yes bud, I've managed to get Racefit to agree to make me a full system for her. Anyone who has dealt with these guys for a custom job knows that they only do jobs that take their fancy and they are definitely not Ducati fans, saying "no" in no uncertain terms when I first mentioned a "Monster" but when I also mentioned the words "Super" and "Charger" they suddenly got interested!!
