Well, the 749 has been off the road since Feb when the MoT ran out. And quite frankly I couldn't been arsed to renew it. however over the last few months every now and then i chucked the spanners at it and have replaced all the brake pads, brake fluid (no drama's) stripped and cleaned the clutch and replaced the fluid, cleaned the bike during April sometime (finally washed last years midgie masher bugs off:eek:). It's going in for MoT on Friday afternoon after getting new front tyre in the morning and slinging a barn door size number plate on it. My heart is saying flog it but my head is saying keep it so a quick fly out on Friday eve hopefully will have me wanting to keep it! All bieng well might nip over to Squires for 7ish if anyone fancies a blether, providing it passes. Cant go too far coz the belts STILL haven't changed themselves :o

Might just make the masher :)

Make sure the belts last up to Edinburgh and back, I'll probably take the car.....cameras have a less chance of smashing on the road in one of these, plus its less hassle packing..........:D

I also need to tape the front indicators as the back ones are still missing as well the switch gear. I got away without a reflector last year as well as a 6 x 4 number plate but its a new guy covering for a fortnight so he might be eager :(

any way here it is looking all spangley, already talking myself out of getting rid

Thats a nice bike Steve , might want to keep it if you get an MOT for it . Is that Michelin pilot 2ct on there ? and if it is , are they any good ? my mate bought a pair today for his triple speed and they,re the wrong ones . Could take them off him if there ok

absolutley love the 2ct's. took a bit of getting used to after having Pirellis before but 2ct all the way now.

Steve, if you're taking it to P&K at Ravensthorpe i hope that grumpy bearded git doesn't do it. What a moaning tw4t he is ! I took the Paso in just before i changed bikes as i was having starting problems and he spent more time shuffling around the workshop talking to other guys and generally whingeing. I even offered to take the panels off so he could get a wriggle on, but no, this just gave him summat else to moan about.

Yeah P&K, it depends what day you catch him, he was quite chatty last year but it was his business parter who MoT'd it and hes gone now. But Beardy is off for couple of weeks and someone else is covering.

Well, it failed! all because in my haste to fit the front wheel in the downpour I fitted it back to front :o. no mention of the missing number plate light, missing reflector or Termis, just an advisory that the indicators were missing, which I knew. So the guy gave me all the spanners to spin the wheel round then passed it :D

Only when I was at Squires enjoying glorius sunshine and a pot of tea was it when I realised I had forgotton to pick up my house keys when I took off my Lanyard at the garage  No bother, literally took me 5 seconds to break into my own house with out any damage although climbing thru the top bay window was a tad difficult in the one piece leathers :o
