Had all the right elements in it and cool new one off colours for the motogp bikes.
It's a must watch;)

Would def agree with you there Tam. Nice to see such a good attitude between the first two guys as well (GP). Really good to watch

That has to be one of the most entertaining races of the season so far

little loris rode the arse off that bike, casey was entertaining and sete bottled it again (sore toe my arse)

however someone is still a touch special in that mix.

speed down the straights from the duc's was amazing, i could go on and on about that race ;)

I think Sete had his best race of the year so far, Eurosport cut to a commercial break and when they came back he'd gone backwards dramatically, he says toe sliders??? I dunno what to make of that?

According to todays comic, he lost a toe slider and managed to grind away his boot to the point he was rubbing his toes on the tarmac

He also says he wasn't using it as an excuse :dunno:

Nah, Sete never uses excuses, it's always explanations, just to get that absolutely clear folks. He whinges enough when he gets the chance

Email from Ken Foley - Team manager

The Lloyds British Ducati Team came away from Mallory Park yesterday after having experienced it’s hardest round of the Championship so far this season. We knew that with it’s short straights and tight chicanes, Mallory would probably be the most unfriendly circuit on the calendar for the ultra-fast Ducati 749Rs and it proved to be just so.

In qualifying on Saturday the best Stuart and Martin could manage was 14th and 21st place on the grid respectively, so they new they were in for a hard battle in the race. The usual suspects of Laverty, Sykes, Crutchlow and Camier were on the front row and as the lights went out the battle commenced. Stuart got a superb start and was up to 10th position as they came past the start and finish line for the first time. On lap 5 he move up to 9th, but an uncharacteristic mistake on lap 15 cost Stuart two places and he had it all to do again. Sheer grit and determination proved to be the order of the day and when the chequered flag came out Stuart crossed the line in a respectable 7th place.

Martin had a less than favourable first lap and found himself in 27th position when coming across the line for the first time. Never one to give up, he dug deeper than he’s had to all year and, slowly but surely, chipped away at the pack and eventually managed to bring his Ducati home in 17th position.

After the race Stuart commented:

“I’ll be glad to put this one behind me. I was 7th here last year and with the new chicane I’m relieved to get a 7th place today. Whilst it’s clearly not where we want to be, we can now move forward and look at the circuits that are coming up in the second half of the season. Snetterton next and I was leading there last year before the front tucked and threw me off, so I’m going back there hell-bent on a win.”

Martin added:

“I’m disappointed not to have scored any points for the first time this year, but without sounding like I’m making up excuses, this is not a good circuit for the bikes. I was tenth at Snetterton last year and I truly believe I can improve on that result in a couple of week’s time. I’m glad Mallory is behind us now and I’m looking forward to some of the faster and more flowing circuits that are coming up on the calendar.”
