two months before the eicma in milan it's time to push the rumour-mill.:D i'm pretty sure we'll see these new releases for my 10:

new multistrada (internal factory code cayenne) standard + s
monster 696 abs
1198 r biposto
848 s

heard rumours about a restyled hypermotard with 1200 ccm (air/watercooled?)
upgraded sport classic 1000 biposto ?
new colorschemes ?
ducati design studie (cruiser,supermono,supersport,crosser,scooter - nothing is impossible) ?
 
eh, forgot the specs for the bimota cracks here:

bimota db7 and tesi naked versions (vs ducati 'streetfighter')
db 7 r ?
 
I've heard rumours of at least 1 surprise model which I'd think has to be a parts bin special using existing bits as given the state of sales development budgets must be cut back. Its taken them a year to get the multi replacement ready so I'm assuming they haven't got a lot new, usually they release a new model in summer to help sales but this year they haven't.

New sport classic would be difficult unless it was just a restyle but they do need cheaper bikes so using the air cooled engine in a sport bike makes sense. Current pricing is restricting sales and dealers are complaining at Ducati about it so if they don't want to deviate from their premium price/increased margin plan they are going to struggle.

I can't see a water cooled HM, surely the point was the HM and Monster were the air cooled bikes and SF the high powered beast? putting a heavy engine in a big supermoto doesn't make sense to me but its one of the easiest options for them.

can't see how that would work.. the R, is the race variant, how that works as a bip I can't see.... that said, it's Ducati, and anything is possible.

Is it not time for the 1298 to be launched anyway.... 1198's been out for ages

i'm with you. it's a total opposite but you can dare the italians everything...(probably the description means only 1198 standard + s)
