My empire of dirt...

Look at the fucken state of the top of my fence!!! I fist cut the top of free hand with my skill saw but wasn't happy with it, so I pinged a line, fixed a batten and cut again.. mint!
3 weeks latter and it looks shit! I know timer expands and contracts but I didn't thing quite so much length wise!!!!

I see what you’re saying, I have a side gate that behaves in the same way
Have you thought of attaching a shaped ‘coping’ on top. It could be routed out to hide the gaps and would form a drip to help with water displacement.

Whoa whoa!

Slow down. Don't rush him.

Had b's folks and 2 of her sisters over yesterday. Yummy lunch of BBQ butterflied chicken and salads.. followed by cake...
Good day. B attempted to hand feed carrots to the sheeps out the back. They were a bit timid but once one had a go they all got keen.

Burn pile keeps getting bigger! And ya can see my new ( to me) roller door in pics.
Raining today so that's a bitch...

B's family bought us some plants...
A lovely gesture but we ain't quite ready for planting yet!
No idea where to put any thing and need to do landscaping first ideally.
Need to get @Laava his lovely jo over for some ideas as they have the best garden ever!
also there is 8 rose plants.. i hate roses.. well, i like the flowers and the smell, but they are nasty thorny bastards and i hate working around em.. they are all different varieties that b's sis remembers from their grandads garden so b is all sentimental about em..
they did also get, 2 types of lime, 2 types of lemon, a passion fruit, 2 types of tamarillo ( tree tamato) a tangelo and 2 feijoa trees.
I know where we want the citrus planted.
B wants the passion fruit on the neighbors fence, that ain't happening..
I'll build a frame 400mm away from fence so it to get destroyed and ya got access for maintenance.
The feijoas will go out the front for the local kids to snack on.. well, 1 will, the other will go inside the fence so I get some!!!
Also brought my herbs home the other day..

Another thing about this planting stuff, we had to go out and spend hundreds on pots n compost and potting mix n stuff... and gumboots.... like 500 bucks!!! And load it and unload it before we even look at planting...
I ain't got time for this shit!!
Also did a trip to the storage unit and got most of my tools and a few shelves.. the spare room is now the tool room till the garage is finished.. nice to see most of my tools in one spot though...
Pics of stuff...

Done a 12hr stint on the garage today! Yesterday I got the last of the cladding and flashings removed, bitch of a job..
Today I thought would be an easy one but I underestimated as always!
Choped the old front door out and more rotten timber, rebuilt that and the last few studs and nogs in, moved the whole thing forward 150mm then jacked it up 300mm.
Had and old washing line pole out the back so cut 4 sections of that off ( in the rain!) Then once I'd done a bit of bracing, I jacked it up a Lil, slid the pipes in and with a bit of leverage, rolled it into its new position.
Piece of piss..
Then I had to put 8 of braces in to slide 4 x 4 post through as Jack points. The whole job has just been done by measurements and eyeing stuff up till now due to the slab being so far out of level and the amount of timber I had to cut out, so it was then a matter of jacking it up, level out the bottom plate a d packing, then plumbing up corners, string lining the bottom plate and bracing it all up!
It all went really well, just a fuck ton of work!
Next up is bricks and drop it down..

Looks to be some good progress made there, but clearly loads yet to do !! ;)(y)
It'll be worth it though & at least this looks like taking less time than Exi's little extension !! :ROFLMAO:
Putting the floor boards on the ceiling is gunna slow me up some! but it's ticking along.
Want to start bricks tomorrow but have to go do a Lil roof Job I started weeks back.
Guys getting arsey.

About 20 hours for my extension but it was double cavity and insulated and attached to a log cabin Garage not a shed 👀

That's a good days work Chiz. Are you going to have a courtesy door as well as the roller shutter?
Yes mate, Lil side door. The opening is there ish, I'll trim it to the correct size while in cladding. I'm using corrugated iron so need to line it up so the flashings either side are the same size, if that makes sense!
I have a steel door that was on there so will most likely reuse that for now..
I say most likely as I haven't even had a good look at it yet! Just pulled it out and put it to the side...
At a glance it looked OK, if a Lil ugly!
