Total production figures
996R = 750
998R = 700
go debate it guys!!![]()
on further investigation it transpires that....
996R Customer bikes were produced as follows:
500 (150 US Market + 350 rest of World) limited edition numbered
250 for racing globally ie WSBK privateers, BSB, AMA etc etc.
998R
500 as above, plus a further 200 for racing.
So to conclude they are both equally desirable :comp2:
Cheers
That's an interesting question Ian.
Soooooo many to choose from, for different reasons.
Hard to pick a favourite, but for sheer grin factor and fun on the road, ride it like ya stole it..........M620.
Sad but true
Cheers
Nige
WTF, you have the choice of any bike & you choose the 620, thats priceless Nige !
/ian
who said anything about choice? Seriously good fun the M620, sadly overlooked by a lot of people. nothing quite like the buzz of seeing off a ZX6R or similar down a couple of local B roads. Their faces are pictures when they realise its a 620![]()
on the track it has to be a 749 though, any variant will do.
At the risk of starting his "debate" off again there is a 2003 998R on fleabay at £4500 which looks like a good buy if it is genuine.
If its the one in Italy onwned by an English Bloke that can't ride it anymore due to injury etc etc it's genuine. i was asked about it a couple of weeks ago.
cheers![]()
IF it was sold (both bids $75k 2 days apart?) it will be a long time before the next one comes up for grabs. And I bet it makes more than $75k!![]()
