New 749 moto GP Exhaust - WTF

mmmmm, I actualyy quite like 'em, wouldn't pay a grand for em mind. As an alternative to the termigoonies, I ain't seen much else I'd have tbh....

didn't realise that Stevie Wonder had moved into the after market exhausts market.

clearly 'designed' for sound only

Now I like things that are a little different, when I saw the title I thought they may have exited the pipes through the tail unit, then I clicked on the link - they are bloody awful, I mean, they may have exup 'type' valves and be of a tuned length and all that tosh but they look shiiiiiite !

Obviously proud though, parking it next to the van, not a great marketing move !

so davie, did you go for the buy it now option or are you gonna gamble and see if it costs you more:d:d

Oh aye....£1000 to buy..........and after fitting your bike would be worth a £1000 less.

Im surprised you didnt stock them in your shop? :asslick:

oh they do look terrible ..... not even being covered in dirt and mankiness could hide how bad they are ;):D

He's a right muppet, starts bidding at £999 and then pays aload extra to have the BIN at the same price! 1st class muppet

if you stray onto the Ducatisti website you will see that the manufacturer has joined in the discussion on the exhaust.

interesting to see their point of view.

it is a case of form following function.

Unfortunately aesthetics do come into it unless you are getting a power gain that you want and can't get elsewhere from existing systems. I ran a termi 57 on mine and it needed the ecu chip to really make it deliver the HP as simply bolting on cans is only part of the solution to more HP. A full termi system comes with the ecu can be had for 2K ish, try buying the ecu from Ducati and with that system you'd end up with it costing more

Personally it does nothing for me, the can PT designed fitted the look of the bike, that reminds me of the zard system for sport classics which i don't find attractive either.

Looking at it I'd wonder how much clearance there is for later style swingarms as well?, the bigger 999 systems all needed flattening as the pipework passes the swingarm that looks like its pretty close on the cast sa never mind the welded?

Good luck to a local business making it but I can imagine its going to be hard sell if folk don't like the look no matter what the power gain.

In short,

you can't polish a turd. True, a turd has a purpose but you don't want to bolt one on your bike do you?

Awful!! Think I've only seen one other bike with a more stupid looking exhaust, Jon and Claire may recall what I'm talking about?
