...Whos coming to Knockhill on Friday then? I'll be there with the Imola and my peanut butter sandwiches!!!! :)

Looking forward to it as I had to sit out the last one. Any new members who I haven't met yet, come over and say hello - I'm sure you'll recognise the bike or my gob!!!! :eek: :p
 
Sorry Edd, wont be there this time.... I have an appointment with the track in the middle of the Irish Sea!;) :D

I'm booked to go, however being new to track days, what's the deal with rain. I commute everyday so no issues on the roads, but a tad nervous about riding on track when it's wet:eek:

Generally considered good form to keep ones bike beneath oneself, preferably on ones bikes circular rubber bits.;)

But don't worry, somehow Martin had reached a deal with him upstairs and it hardly ever seems to rain on DG tracknight.... Weather forcast looks good for friday.

Love to see the D16RR roaring past Mike, hoping to pop up for a watch for the "second half"... understand if you decide not to. Haven't seen the weather forecast yet, very warm at the moment, some grey clouds (Cumbernauld, 12.30), but Knockhill has it's own damn climate anyway, it could be snowing :D

That's it sorted then, I'll be there for the 2nd Half - the offer of a peanut butter sandwich, gets me EVERY TIME, smooth or crunchy ???
 
Unfortunately smooth (prefer crunchy but my daughter won the toss).
I have to say, I NEVER share my peanut butter sandwiches, it's tabboo!!! I will however have other things to offer - corned beef, nuttella etc.
@@@@ing down with rain here at the mo (black isle) but Met office says that Knockhill will be better later. Hope so, I don't have racing wets fitted and what I do have fitted are virtual slicks!!!! :eek:

Well, I'm shutting down now (thank god I hear Scotch shout) and meandering on down the A9, takes me hours at the speed I drive!!. I will be expecting bright sunshine when I get there so make sure I'm not disapointed!

...can't understand why the forum says that I've been posting too long today.... :rolleyes: :p

So credit where credit is due.

I went tonight. My first in a year, and what a difference.

Myself and Ed were a touch late for the briefing but heard the gist...........act like a plonker and be banished.......was the theme.

And it worked.

I had a great time!:D

So, in no particular order....... thank you to

Kerrie for the organistaion
Blair for booking me
Martin for the foresight and dedication
Ed, for his two wheeled pornography
Marshall 2 for replacing the chicane marker......oops! My bad!!
Eddie ERS for working flat out to fit my bodywork
Indespension for sorting my trailer at short notice
Julie my wife for lending me her car. It has a towbar! Duh!
Shell Petrochemical for the Optimax, even at 140p a LITRE YOU ROBBING DUTCH @@@@@@@S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and breathe!

Scott for having the balls to bring his Desmo. Respect. And I mean that
Mike Robbins for cutting the grass. Balls of steel. That man has more knowledge of the Knockhill terrain than Google Earth! AND, AND he wears the Ducati leathers with his balls sliced in two!!

And everyone who knows me!!

And of course, Stuart next door, because although we have a real go at each other some of the time, I would not swap him for another neighbour on earth!

So. Thank you all. It was a super lovely night. I look forward to the next.

And of course the next time we are all at BSB with Mrs Rees and her big red cake truck!

Just to echo Ian's comments.

It was a great night, for most.

The road up was a bit damp in places, so I wasn't sure if I was going to take the bike on.

I needn't have worried as much - it was a warm evening, and with the amount of bikes that were circulating the track was dried in no time at all.

Again, I didn't do many laps - but this time I felt a lot better on the bike and the suspension mods certainly made a difference (thanks MPG).

No moments at all for me, I just need to stop seeing £££ signs at every corner.

There was a great atmosphere last night, with everyone havig a good old natter and catching up at the end of the evening with a few DuN'ers in attendance:

It was great to see you ALL, and I hope to see more at the next DG track night.

Must agree,
one of the best track nights i've been too,
Hardly a flag in sight,only one small off !
Track dried up nicely for my brand new rubbers!

Couldn't get to Knockhill before 7pm, so decided to come up for the "banter", great to put faces to the names, some damn ugly faces though :D :D I'll be there for the next one...

talking of ugly, I heard that Tom Cruise has a Desmosedici (number 1 ??) and then got informed he has a German Shepherd too (mines called DOUGAL)... copying B@STARD that he is, still, he hasn't got my looks :D :D Anyway, he's in for a shock, having been used to Gpz 900R (think about it) - Who else remembers the Red Revolution ???

Ed, first of all great to meet you on Friday, can I just say not only did your bike feel great (your words), but I have to say, it looked absolutely STUNNING - winner on the night for looks by far ;)

By the way since 1986 I've been wondering about how many flies Tom Cruise must have swallowed when he pulled away in that scene (again -think about it) without a helmet on!!!! ;) :p
