I saw these guys work at Stafford, great minimalist style with lots of subtle engineering detail. I am really liking the look of this so far;

"Enter 1994 Ducati 900ss. Order of the day is handmade British made girder forks, twin amal monobloc carbs, 21'' wheels with huge racing drumbrakes, elaborate hardtail, split fuel tanks with an equally elaborate paintjob. The name? The OEM Typhoon. Excited? We certainly are!"

With girder forks, monoblocs and drum brakes! You got to be joking. No thanks. Is it a wind up?
 
There is a lot of potential in this for a very original special... keep us up updated!

Derek has a point.... it might not be a scalpel in the twisties...;)

Ach ye miserable auld bugger! :D Maybe a 750 or 600 would suit the build better, and I would use individual Mikuni VM's or some other non CV jobbies, but it will be a thing of beauty! Maybe more Glen Clova than Glenshee, but just the job for nipping for a pint on a sunny evening...

(did you miss that it's going to be a hardtail ;) )

Impudent young scab! Ye've got the MZ for that. Would you really like to bring Ducati down to that level. You'll be wanting to fit a magneto and Joe Lucas's red hot nails for lichts :p
I did miss the hardtail bit because their website is so crap I couldna find the link to any details about the build (if that's the right word). Have you ever ridden a rigid bike at any speed? It gets a bit hairy when you hit a bump while banked over at speed and the back end steps out a few inches - or more!

It hasn't started yet! They only got the donor bike the other week!

It gets a bit hairy when you hit a bump while banked over at speed and the back end steps out a few inches - or more!
