I binned the 748 today ! in the borders on some gravel. I was only doing about 15 - 20mph on an up hill left hander when I hit a big pile of gravel and BANG !!!! I slid off the road !

Bit of a mess

Bike is a bit dead and lying in bits in a garage in Langholm LOL · Helmet dead
Leathers scuffed
Gloves scuffed
Jacket scuffed
Lower left fairing in bits - and I mean bits !!!
Top left upper faring in bits
Screen snapped
Top fairing snapped (where headlight goes)
Indicator snapped
Clutch pedal snapped
Mirror
Water pump cover scuffed
And it won’t start !!!!!!!!!!!!
Still I am ok ish ! sore ribs and my lower left arm is sore !!!!

Sorry to hear that. The fact you are ok is the main thing, the bike sounds a bit worse for wear - scuffed leathers are nothing to worry about, although the same can't be said for helmets.

Hope you can get it running soon and find some cheapish parts for repairs.

aye man really sorry to hear about your miss fortune, sounds like you got a great street fighter there. i was looking at a monster s4 i thinkit was last week in italy, thought that engine look familiar, guy tells me its a 998 engine, thought hmmmm so thats kind of what ma 999 would look like naked engine. steel some idea from pauls monter. lights ext. could be fun. least it would run untill u got fairing parts.

or maybe just a silly idea...

ohh no - bad stuff. Glad that you were not too badly hurt though and hopefully you are feeling a bit better by now

The bike bits n peices will sort and the leathers will be ok.....and you have all winter to think about what new lid to buy too

Glad to hear you're okay but pity about the bike. The good thing is that it's easier to put the bike back together than you.
