This should be a great day for Ducati enthusiasts as we are hoping to have a good turnout. The more the merrier, book early to avoid disappointment.
Make sure you mention DSC and Ducati-upnorth when you book!

I would love to do this, had planned on it when Freak first announced it, was going to take my Dad down as he always loved Oulton and took us to car club meetings from when we were very young, he would have been proud to see me ride around the circuit, even if only on a trackday so I feel it would only be right for me to participate :D
 
Count me in I will be there but after watching Lily and the others ride in RTL 05 I think I'll stick to the novice/intermediates....................:p :cool:
 
All the DSC NW Oulton Park track day has been confirmed and will be held on the 28/6/06 by No Limits 01727 899173

Mark has kindly agreed to reserve 40 places for us until the 1st March 2006 (although I would hope places may still be available after this date) the price for this date will be £144 when you quote the DSC when booking (normal price is £159 for this event).

Remember that Oulton Park is an MSV circuit and as such you need a valid motorcycle license to attend.

I would suggest you book ASAP as Oulton dates fill several months in advance, see you there :)

That makes 10 so far from my calculations between here and the DSC in the first day :D
 
Blimey I have only been to Doncaster and back today and looks like I nearly missed the boat,.........are they supplying free tyres or something????????

Have currently committed to track day celibacy for 2006 I'm affraid, so it'll be a no show for me :(

Webby, I'm sure there are still places in the DSC allocation and probably still places on the general list anyway, it is 6 1/2 months away still

Ummm harsh but fair comment!!! I'll give it some serious thought, presumably there's somewhere top camp at Oulton if I hire a van?
 
Don't think you can camp at Oulton to be fair, but there are loads of B&B's and a few campsites locally, I can have a look round if you decide to book, or if you talk very nicely to Lily she might find you a small piece of space at her house

Had word from my man with a plan that he reckons he's got 2 DUK press bikes for the day also, Monster S4RS and a Xerox 999R :)
 
UPDATE

Just had a quick chat with Mark @No Limits and there are currently 22 DSC'ers on this event, so there is space for a few more but the remaining places will be handed back into the pot so to speak on the 1st March so anyone who's 50/50 needs to get their skates on.

As ever big up to Mark for helping me/us out with this and the discount also, it goes without saying.
 
I would like to do this, however I still don't know the date of my France trip. Will try and push the other lads that are supposed to be doing France for a date. Thing is they were talking about going to Le Mans 24hr which I think is 17/18 June? I was going to meet them in the middle of France and have 10 days which would mean I would be getting back on or about the day of the trackday. Gonna see what I can sort out.

Whats the procedure re different groups? Are there 3 groups? Only done an handful of track days in my life years ago so I'm not all that clued up on what goes on. Wouldnt know what group to go in nowadays as I have got fat and slowed down! Went in intermediates before and passed a few and didnt get passed by anyone else so maybe that group would do. Which group sells out first?
 
Martin, to clarify a few points you've made it's a normal TD and as such 3 groups 20 minute sessions pretty much the same as it always has been.

If you've done a few get into inters, I usually find the novice group is just that full of people with no comprehension of lines, braking points etc, but everyone has to start somewhere I guess.

Inters will fill first though as there is the natural progression from novice to inters, but you then have people scared of going in the fast group.

If it was me I would speak to Mark and book it, if you can't make it he'll give you a credit note for another No Limits day and he's pretty much guaranteed to sell the place in June, worst case scenario you do another date I know I'll be doing a few Oulton/Donny dates with them, plus they go to Croft which I am guessing maybe more accessible for you?
