Freak
Is it still summer?
We're (Claire and I) are having so many problems with central heating and plumbing most of the weekend has been lost trying to correct things.
We have a contract with BG who have been out 3 times in the last week and should be back again shortly but we still have the same if not more issues.
It's worth noting that we are on LPG not natural gas etc
The story so far:-
Last week low pressure and having to add water to the CH system each day = warm not hot water and heating not piping hot.
Engineer came and fixed this issue
The next day same issue and damp patch in corner of one of the rooms, upon investigation under one of the units in the utility we noticed more water but not the source, another call logged with BG
Engineer cameout on Saturday and failed to resolve issue as he didn't have the correct tools and claimed the problem maybe upstairs and the plumbing between the floors.
Sunday morning no pressure again and also boiler has no pilot and won't ingnite even after resetting and restarting, call logged for this seperate issue and advised someone would be here Sunday afternoon.
No one turned up and after a telephone call looks like the details were lost
so no heating or hot water, had to go to the gym for a shower last night.
Today, engineer arrived pulls floor upstairs up but cannot find the leak and as we have no CH currently we cannot start heating to see if this generates the leak visibly, the engineer who came cannot touch LPG so could fix the boiler so now waiting for another engineer to come to fix the boiler (LPG engineer).
The issue may be we need to strip/remove all units out of the utility room to gain access to the suspect pipework which is going to be a nightmare and not something I feel up to.
So depending on the outcome today, we potentially need someone who can remove and restore the utility units and locate and repair the water leak.
