Hey lads. Me and a few others went down to ponteland today on our Scoots. A monster rode past at one point and a few other ducs too, just wondering if you guys may have spotted us. I was on the matt green PX200 as pictured:

The lammy with the "slogan" will probably be the most memorable
 
I'm collecting one of those this week from Edinburger. Been rebuilt restored etc etc. Anything I should be checking ( over and above the lying theiving scumbag that tried to disappear with my friends money ) to make sure it has been done proper like ? :)
 
I honestly don't know much about them lol

When I bought mine I just made sure to check for rust as its something that can't be easily fixed. Mines a resto too, well a cut down as at one point it must have been bad as the floor is no wider than my feet lol.

One bad spot for rust is just above the left panel. I've been told all vespas get this, its mainly surface rust on mine which I'll be fixing next summer (when I can use the ducati to get to work without it getting wet :P)

Love my little P2. A biker that doesn't appreciate riding slowly isn't a biker at all.
 
They really are smashing bikes. Mine was abit rough around the edges but it was really easy to work on. Parts were a pain in the arse to get and most things were expensive but it barely ever went wrong. (until it shot a con rod) Mine had new chain and sprockets, new avon tyres and a service about a month before it blew up. Wasn't worth fixing unfortunately, but if it hadn't I wouldn't have bought the ducati so in a way its a good thing haha. The CBX only had 37,000 miles and was 26 years old, but for £600 quid it was money well spent. I recon I doubled the cost of the bike on tyres n sprockets but only got £300 in the end. If I had the room I would have kept it and restored it but meh I'm happy with the ducati now lol

Aye really you have moved on to a better bike!! so it all works out well in the end.
