At long last - a break from academia
Off to Portugal a week today for 11 days (Thanks to Carlos for your local knowledge)
Bike hire sorted, Conversation with wife as follows:-
"We'll spend a few days in Porto then hire a bike and go down south along the coast. Whaddya think - do you fancy Lisbon for the week-end luv?"

Wife: "Sounds nice."

"I think there's a bit of a bike meet on at a place called 'Estoril' at the weekend. Lots of Ducatis etc."

Wife: "Will it be sunny so I can get some sunbathing in?"

"Oh Yes! We can sit on a grassy bank and watch the racing"

Wife: OK then."

RESULT!!

We can be so don't pat yourself on the back just yet

I am sure once you get there your good lady will have a secret agenda that you know nothing about at the moment but your wallet will know AAAALLLLLL about over there I hear the leather handbags,belts and shoes etc in Portugal are fantastic not to mention there will be bargains to be had in the jewellery shops too!! and you think you're onto a winner :laugh: :laugh:
