OH MY GOD, did I read that right ???? Rossi himself seems to have came out with the statement.... season after next. I think he's the most gifted rider ever and to have him at Ducati (for me) would be a dream come true.

THREE issues here... in 2011 will he be as good or will riders like Lorenzo, or even Spies have taken over ???

Will the ghost of the Desmosedeci haunt Rossi or will he ride the bitch like it should be. Stoner may be p1ssed off, but hey, TOUGH.

And finally, could Ducati merchandising keep up ? If Rossi did sign for Ducati Martin would have to turn downstairs into a merchandise showroom, he'd make MORE from that than selling bikes....

Ducati merchandise is a JOKE, hope you're reading DUK, becuase it is... a TOTAL DISGRACE. I've ordered several items and they either arrive MONTHS after they are ordered, or they never come at all. Total and utter JOKE. If Rossi appeared that would increase 1000 fold, they would never cope in a million years.

IF this is true, Rossi needs to go out in a blaze of glory when he retires. IF he goes to the Desmo he is risking to fade away and retire as a 'Has Been'. I don't belive he will do it for one minute.

This, i would say will happen.

For the following reasons.
He will want to win the Moto Gp title for 3 different manufacturers.
He will want to go out and try to win as an Italian on an Italian bike.

I would not be suprised if he does this in his own one man team. Jerry Burgess might go with him, and retire also, as he is no spring chicken.

The biggest obsticle for Rossi is this.
When he went to Yamaha, he was given 4 chassis, and 4 different engine specs, and tested the combinations till he found what he wanted. He will not get to do this if he goes to Ducati, due to testing bans.

He has already stated his wish, is to be remembered as a Yamaha rider. This he has acheived as he has ridden them the longest.
