SS wheels

Freak

Is it still summer?
Anyone know if 900SS wheels are the same as a 620SS?

I'm interested mainly in spindle sizes, they look the same on the photo's but don't know if they are or not?

Front will fit, but rear is wider - it has a 5 inch rim, where the 620 has a 4.5inch rim.

Hope this helps

C:)

Hmmmm so it would fit the s/arm then? but tyre sizes etc would be different??

you'll need to check you've got clearance for a bigger wheel/tyre at the front of the swingarm Jon. also disc/sprocket offset but you can probably space the disc or caliper if needed.

Jon, the sprocket sits in the same place on all of them, the spacing is the same in the swinger for both the caliper and sprocket - in other words the hubs are identical it's only the rims that are wider.
I've got a 5.5" rim from my donor bike. never gonna use so if you want it. But do you really want such a large rim in the 620?

Cheers Ed, I dunno just stumbled across a really cheap set on Ebay and I wondered if they were worth a punt etc

...Jon, stick with the 4.5" rear, the bike will become 'cumbersome' for want of a better phrase, the fatter rear tyre (which you will have to run on the 5.5") slows the steering down so much it becomes hard work to hussle from one extreme lean angle to the other.
This is of cause my experience and just my opinion. I always start the DG trackeves with the wider tyre but get frustrated with the spoilt handling of the Imola, so I bung the smaller rear in normally during a natural break (read when a Jap bike has just bought it on the hairpin) :p

Ed, if its for his DD bike he is not allowed any wider than a 160 rear. Probably why the silly @@@@ keeps finding hiself face down in the kitty litter!

Alan,

wack the small bearings out and fit the larger ones - I did this for my front (don't forget the spacer inside the hub though!! :D )
