Skimming through this - considered Nitron ? (12-21)

Got and R3 on the rear of my z1000 and pro cartridges on the front.....ironically i was at MH racing last night...bout 30 mins to set the zed up....getting it all uptogether before the TT.

Suspension: Well, i was the same....im no racer (never even been on a track) wife kids and mortgage put a stop to that....but i learnt from taking the plunge with the wheels on the zed...bought some marchesini's for it thinking ive wasted my money here - the change was incredible....so i did the suspension thing as well... bought a TTX mk2 for the rear of my RSV4 and then went from stock ohlins on the front to NiX30 cartridges.....that was the clincher....as i say...no racer but the only way i can describe good suspension is the more you push it.....the more compliant it becomes, its almost like, when cornering your stuck in a rut which you control (its an overused word but its still valid)..planted.....ive got a 3way Bitubo on the rear of the Hyper but....adriani cartridges are definately going to be bought for the front...

I suffer from a shortage of space. With three motorbikes in the garage and one on a workshop lift, together with a posh electric bike on it's side stand, there is not the room to add anything. I have to be able to walk through as behind there is a doorway that leads to my workshop, with an exercise bike in it and that leads into a small room containing my washing machine and tumble drier. I don't want it all to get too rammed. If I could easily fit in another motorbike, then I would get one on Monday! What that would be, I have no clue. There are lots of bike that I like, but nothing that I am desperate for.

I really need to just get on with my KTM. The Ducatis should be done, but I am in no rush as I think that I would struggle with their weight.

You should just sell those ducatis as they sound like they are going to remain like that forever. Not being harsh, just think you sound like you dont need clutter and you probably wont be riding them either…

So although the forum specially claims to ne able to talk about ALL bikes, too much KTM stuff is not allowed?

I missed the bit in the rules where it says that although you can talk about any bike, not just Ducatis, you must not talk about KTMs too much. We still hold grudges agaisnt the Austrians, as we still go back to the Second World War and Hitler?

The commenting about routes and suspension apply to all bikes, including Ducatis.

No reason to sell.

They both require a little work and I am happy to do that. I was constrained a bit by the Winter, and not being very mobile, but both those things have passed.

Neither owe me a penny, or cost me a cent, so no rush, or need, to sell.

They would not fetch much and I don't need the hassle of selling them.
 
Here you go Perry another KTM post
Last month I was prepping my MV (now part owned by KTM) for its MOT and it fell over. In doing that it fell onto my 1098 before the floor
The bar of the MV smashed a hole in the 1098 fairing.
The Mv fairing had 2 small cracks in the side panel and 2 pieces broke off the nose cone. There was also a deep gouge across the top of the tank.
I plastic rivetted the Ducati fairing back together so I could use it till I find a replacement
The KTM (MV) I bought a whole new secondhand body kit in Carbon fibre which cane with a tank and airbox.
Just finished fitting it today 👍

Bitching aside (always a shame) there does seem to be an affinity here for KTMs and MVs here. I think (but don't know) that this is because they share with the Ducati brand as interesting bikes amongst our general age and experience group.

Bitching aside (always a shame) yet again. thinking of next bike (I do a lot of aimless thinking) if It was not to be a 790 Duke, then the Yamaha MT07 looks best bet.
I will go look at MVs, as there is a dealer in Gloucester who does them, but first thoughts are that they are just too expensive for my budget.
 
You need to look on the MV forums
Basically KTM have junked all the dealers and are supposed to be getting a dealership up and running. At the moment loads of people are waiting inordinate length of time for spares.

I just go on my experiaance. Fowlers are KTM dealers (I have bought two from them) and I've never had a problem getting parts.
