Came home to a nice surprise. Letter from Black Horse stating that when I took the loan out for the Bayliss they failed to inform me that I could have paid it off early. Due to this lack of information they are duty bound to pay me back all the acrued interest., £2640. Ding, dong. Get right in there.
Cheque in the post. Nice ECU UNIT and Namless axleback exhaust coming my way for the Scoobi I think . Get in there. :lol2::lol2::D:D

Wow so did I!!:D again not just quite as much as you Chiz but like Teeny says better in our pockets than theirs, good to here of other folk getting a bit off good news too :xmas_emot:

potential shafting going on here. got one my self urging you to pay in immediately, thus excepting and missing out on any compensation. posted it on ducati forum and a fella got back regarding. quite common apparently.

Great news for those who received a refund, a colleague got a similar letter this week for his triumph. Are black horse issuing these automatically or are people contacting them to request the payment? If so how are you all going about it? Took out a BH Loan to buy my 848 back in 2008.

Its automatic. Just got 75.60 from tesco bank today. Just sit back and wait for the cheques to arrive.

Is there maybe a date after which these are happening?
I used Black Horse to finance my 749 back in 2008 and not heard a thing.
All of the bikes purchased/mentioned are at least 1 or 2 years after that so just wondering if they changed procedures?

Mine was a 4 year deal from April 2011 and Black Horse were supposed to advise that you had the right to voluntarily terminate the contract before completion - so what they are saying is the interest charged is not valid and the refund is the interest for every month they didn't tell you of your right to end the contract - legal loophole stuff in favour of the customer for a change.

Check your correspondence with Black Horse- quite happy to let you have a gander at my letter if that helps

Mine was for the same reason. Same with my tesco car loan.
