The Britten

Apologies, I’ve been lurking for a while, a refugee from the other crew (thanks Andy!)
I had the pleasure of sharing trsvelling/pit arrangements with Andrew Stroud (9 x NZ Superbike champ) a few (too many!) years back. Just a lovely bloke and a beautiful family.
One of my vivid memories was arriving at the track (NZ Superbike champs) to find him unloading the trailer. His (Suzuki NZ, #1) bike is already parked under the ezy-up when he heads into the trailer as I arrive. I expect him to emerge wheeling my bike (Yoshi’d GSXR1000) only he emerges wheeling a Britten! Ho.Lee.Shit!!!
We were in Christchurch NZ, John Britten’s home city, so it was offered for display.
Just mind blowing to spend a day with this incredible thing just a few metres away.
Sweet and sour though: I had the biggest/strangest crash of my life in first practice so on-track was my worst race weekend ever, while off-track it was the best.
They say “don’t mert your heroes”? Don’t believe a word of it.

No problems with Lurking chap but welcome to the forum.

We have quite a few Aussies and a few Kiwi's here so I'm sure you'll get on with them (well a few 😂)

It's always good to hear experiences such as yours because it reminds us when it comes to biking, it's not just the riding that makes people bikers (y)
