The move to paperless road tax was welcomed - no more discussions on best place to place Tax disc for a start
But there is a downside: no more transferable Road Tax

Every time the government changes something there's always a gotcha :watchout:

On the plus side at least you'll still get a refund for the unused tax, but after October there will be no more "taxed until the end of..." appearing in second hand ads.

It seems like another way for the government to get more money into the treasury by the back door. I think a lot of people will not reclaim the money they are owed when they sell. I like having the tax disc by the way.

the new vehicle tax system allows you to pick up your new vehicle without tax as it is now issued direct from Swansea
used vehicle sales are still available to tax at the post office

New vehicles have a grace period of two weeks from registration to be allowed not to show tax
