I,d much rather have 2 Streetfighters than 1 1198.....:D

OR

1 Streetfighter & a lot of cash left over for beer.....:beer:

how about NO BIKES and all on beer :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: :drunk::puke:

I think the pricing is about right compared to 2009/10 model prices etc. Think we have to remember that SBK sales are small, so prices will appear to be high as opposed to naked bikes etc

However I do agree with the post about 08 R's being £24k and now the latest 1198R's being £30k. Seems extreme, as they're the same almost. For a few quid more (say £35k) you can get a used RR.

Just my 2P'th..

Samieb... for a few quid more, or indeed for NO QUID more - you can get a NEW RR... if you want a used one, give me £32k. :D:D

disagree with that post. I paid £37,500 for the D16RR so paying £38k for a bike isn't the issue... getting the utter p1sh ripped by a company that THINK buyers will pay anyprice for the latest model, well that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, and that's EXACTLY what this is... It appears that Ducati think they can sell anything at any price... it only APPEARS that way.

Yes, the bike (1198R) is AWESOME, best I have EVER seen - but's it's a 1098R Bayliss with a PAINT-JOB which itself was a 1098R with a paint job... £24 - £39... THINK NOT :mad::mad:
that' my point exactly, the paying isn't the issue.
Ducatis , especially the ones you mention are absolute luxury.
but i do like your comment about swapping it for beer..

"Depreciation... Ducatis depreciate like third world currencies, live with it, move on... I have learned that the HARD way"

depreciation that bad, hmmmm. ok i'll give you £20 for the d16rr thingy but only if the tank is full ;)

Bugger. Wish I'd known I would have bought it.;)
I had a spare £32K last week.:thumbs:
Anyone want a 370Z? I'm wanting M.D.'s RR now.:D
