Time to 'push' for something new?

The wife is looking to get another horse, this one sits at around £4.5K. Usually when this sort of this happens I either (a) throw my toys out of the pram or (b) use it to my advantage.

Seeing as her mind is made up I'm thinking that (b) might be my better option in this case ;)

Despite not having had a full/proper season on it; Despite having trailered it to Dynojet in 'Ingurlund' for an expert fit and mapping of a PCIII; Despite having just fitted a set of Quill Evo2s to the beast; I'm thinking of changing the ST3s for something more 'expensive' .. at least £4.5K more expensive! :p

I need some advice though - What sort of price should I be letting her go for? Selling private is sometime a bit of a pain compared to the simple 'Part-Ex' but the PX route usually offers considerably less than a bikes real value.

:flash: Rather than put all the details here I've put together a one-page Website for the bike which can be found at www.mymotorbike.info (<<-- Linky), so people can have a better look at it. :flash:

The bike is not presently advertised for sale - I have yet to negotiate with the wife for release of funds in my direction. I might yet get a big "f**k off" seeing as I've only had it for a year :o

I would however, appreciate a PM or two regarding at what sort of price I would likely achieve the best result for all parties, just in case I get a Green Light. Is £5K a decent starting price?

Cheers.

let us know the price when you decide as I am on the lookout for a tourer and would prefer an st to another make

Well my first intimations were met with the sort of language that only a stormy 'jock' wifey can produce during heated discussions  ...

It's getting better though; I was unconscious for only 10 minutes this time!

I'll try again in a few weeks. :D
