To-Do List...

Well after picking up the bike on Saturday and having a good poke around it on Sunday, I now seem to have a bit of a to-do list...

Heel plate on the right hand side is missing, so need one of them.
Springs on the clutch are rusty so need changed.
Don't like the carbon 3/4 clutch cover so want a more open stylee one.
Brake and clutch fluid tops are corroding a wee bit so need to be sorted/replaced.
One indicator lens on the front has a wee crack in it, so should probably change that.
Dipped beam headlight bulb has gone so need a new one of them.

Nothing too disastrous I suppose... :lol2:

Been looking at the aluminium stuff on carbon trader ... any other suggestions on the best places to buy tat & misc parts like the indicator lens ?

Cheers,

Dave.

put a billet cover on the clutch. if the bike goes over clutch side it will stop it from wrecking it. Mine went over with a carbon cover and smashed the basket, plate, couple of springs etc.

Stainless bolt and spring set for clutch not big money from Ducati dealer.

Dip beam bulb is same as high beam bulb, I think, could swap over if urgent.

Happy new bike :)

I changed all my lenses for clear ones so I have two pristine standard amber fronts lying on a shelf. PM me if you're interested for a fiver each. (I will sell them singly)

well looks like I may need a new clutch reservoir then....

anyone know where I can get one and what the cost may be?

Will give DG etc. a call in the morning...

Cheers,

Dave.

In case drilling out the screw which has just snapped fails...

First 2 came out no bother... then the 3rd one turned a couple of times and snapped... just above the reservoir itself. It appears to have completely fused to the bit it's screwed into so going to have to attempt drilling it out.

Would rather have a spare reservoir before attempting it though!!

Dave,

None of that sounds too brutal..I think you will need a set of DP mirrors though. The original are worse than @@@@e to see out of and for around £30 on ebay the DP replacements actually work. Not pretty though.

See if you cant make it to the run on Sunday. ..though it may well be @@@@ing down.

Take care,

Frank

Replacement reservoir ordered from DG for £20ish... so not the end of the world.

Not sure whether I'll replace the mirrors tbh.. need to get out and ride the bloody thing first... but with the current weather and the DVLA being a bit useless with taxing it... it may be next week before that happens!!

Cheers!

Dave.
