Waste of a good bike

Correct

Remember playing gigs at the "Beamish Mary" in the aptly called "No Place" ( Co Durham close to Stanley) next to CO-OP Villas and there was a Jawa 350 screwed to the wall, well.....the 350 2 stroke twin was never a great example of engineering but it all seemed strange to me!!!! Hope the 916 falls on his heed to remind him that bikes are to be ridden!!!!:D

Waste of a good bike if genuiune...but is it???

Have a close look...

What is the light source?
-camera flash, room light (floor level) or window?

The shadows are all wrong...the cabinet top shadow is angled, but the bike shadows on the wall are vertical, as are the couch.

The reflections in the fairing seem ok but something doesn't add up in my opinion.

Saw this a few weeks ago elsewhere and certainly looks like a photoshop jobbie the more I see it.

...and in any case (if it is genuine) - if you're going to go to all that bother (and let's face it, it would have been expensive to get done), get something genuinely special like a Strada, SP or SPS, rather than a biposto with a single seat unit...

I recall an episode of Grand Designs a while back where there was a fella intending on doing the same.

Pretty sure its photoshopped - theres an odd reflection on the side fairing and at that angle from the wall you would be able to see the white of the ceiling in the mirror and you can't. Think iv'e been watching too many CSI's

it is photoshopped, and why not..
check the bottom of the rear tyre

a gallery in great western road had one in the window,
i wish we had more room in the shop for me to stick one in

I'm sure I've seen this before, plus a few more pictures of how it was done. Not my taste at all, a massive waste of a brilliant bike! Bikes are for riding, not displaying.

what if you can't ride it for whatever reason and just like having a ducati, if ye can afford it ?

Personally I would sell my bike if I couldn't ride it for whatever reason, it's either going to be to tempting not to ride, or a slap in the face because you cannot ride :D

Mine goes after I go out in a box whether I have been riding it or spent the last 20 years sitting looking at it. (with the odd bit of polishing and listening to it from time to time) :)

for once I agree with Kevin Mcloud

Grand Designs

'I wanted to bring another bike in here and she said there is no way you are having two bikes in the house which I understood it is ok to have one'

I too think it looks wrong on the wall, it should be 'just parked' next to the wall, at least it could be still sat on!

That looks like a modern house, and an internal wall. So it's just a stud partition. There's no way the wall (and possibly the house!) would still be standing up if he'd nailed a bike to it....!

I have a modern house (well 1970's) and all the downstairs internal walls are brick.
