I am booked on the Hull-Zeebrugge ferry depart Hull 25th June, arrive Zeebrugge 8:30am Tuesday 26th June.
I am splitting the journey down and back from Zeebrugge into two days of approximately 420 miles each day. This means I will have to kip the night somewhere near Strasbourg. Last time I stayed at Strasbourg going there on my bike (21 yrs ago when I was a young yoof - Honda CX500) it was a veritable sh1thole. So I am thinking of swanning off course about 30 miles to stay in Baden-Baden for an overnight stay each way. I have stayed there before on my bike, very nice. This will be the night of 26th June down and 2nd July return. Is anyone else thinking of doing the same ? I will have my eldest lad in tow on the back (20 yrs young). I am trying to convert him away from 'chav' cars and onto something sensible and so to World Ducati Week. The things you have to do for your children !
