So just tart it up to increase the price than
Than what auld lad?
Better than the Multi, i've got no time for electrckery, cables and pushrods!! Over 76000 miles on my 900ie and a 2700 mile trip to Italy and back with no issues!! It handled like a dream over the Alps with my son on the back and a massive rucksack on the back, my then father inlaw had my ex Guinness on the back of his ZZR1400 and had nothing but trouble with it!!Than what auld lad?
I just disagree Wayne, I'm not saying your IE wasn't a good bike, I've ridden my mates IE and I just found it 'meh'.Better than the Multi, i've got no time for electrckery, cables and pushrods!! That's what I'm confused with I can't think of anything worserThan what auld lad?
Still doing 9 mpgI saw the new Multi whilst doing the factory tour a few weeks.
Headlights have changed and plastics, rest of it looked to be the same as the current one.
Each to there own i guess, my Indian was fly by wire throttle and other electrickery, twice i had to ride it down to Pool because the flyby wire throttle fucked up. I was out and about on it and it went into get you home mode, when it was sorted and playing ball the throttle was a switch, on or off and it felt wooden like i wasn't in control. Never again, analogue for me all day long, my Enfield has a ecu and i've not ridden it for over a month, i'm getting it booked in tomorrow to get fixed. I have a feeling the ecu is fucked because my scanner can't connect to the ecu, if it's the ecu that's 300 quid, progress apparently!!I just disagree Wayne, I'm not saying your IE wasn't a good bike, I've ridden my mates IE and I just found it 'meh'.
After 7 years and 30k on multistrada's with no real issues, I've found they're supremely capable machines and became a multi fan boi.
I'll concede tho, to get the best from ownership, you do need a good selection of tools, mechanical aptitude and more than a basic understanding of canbus!
I was a luddite years ago when it came to modern elec-trickery, doubting its use and abilities, thinking my own experience and abilities were better.
Now I'm amazed at how wrong I was, from the first bike I owned with ABS, traction control, electronic suspension and cruise control, was a revelation. now 14 years later big Sonja has almost every conceivable electronic aid a motorcycle could have.
It inspires confidence in your riding, knowing there's various modules and sensors keeping you safe.
I hope those that have yet experienced modern systems on motorcycles, get the chance to fully test one, you will be amazed brothers and sisters.
Wanker!!Is that pre crash or post crash, I can't quite tell![]()
ST is the easy option if you're ok with weight and seat height, Monsters are better for shorties as I used to get cramp on mineMr Fustrated here,
My compensation would allow me to buy any Ducati that I want. But it looks unlikely that I will ever get it, and even less likely that I would get a lump sum. Instead, I will have Mummy to look after the money for me, and Mummy will not allow me to buy a motorbike
I am unsure if I will buy a Monster out of my own money. I will get my ST3 back on the road and see how I get on with it.
How dare you darken this luddite site with your talk of fancy electrikery - wash out your mouth with swarfega and used engine oil at onceI just disagree Wayne, I'm not saying your IE wasn't a good bike, I've ridden my mates IE and I just found it 'meh'.
