Where to get 999 serviced near cheshire?

Hello all,

New to the site, so not sure I've posted in the correct area. I need to get my 999 serviced it is a 2002 model so I am not tied to main agents for the warranty - it needs a 6000 mile service including belts and throttles setting up.

Can anyone recommend any reputable companies in the area who offer good quality service for sensible money and are not likely to try and take the proverbial..

Noticed WLRacing at Oulton Park, does anyone have any experience of them?
At the moment, the only place in the country I trust to do a good job is Moto Rapido in Winchester. As this is 250 miles away I could do with finding somewhere closer!

Thanks for any help..

Hello CJC and welcome to the site!
There are quite a few knocking around......Woods Of Abergele, Duke Manchester and Leeds and also Italsport in Bury. I know Freak takes his to JHP in Coventry and there is Gtech near Kettering (probably a little to far maybe).
I live nearby in Farndon which is 8 miles from Chester and there are quite a few of us around here that meet regularly..Are you able to come to the meet at Hartside tomorrow? If so, or you what some more info about a place to service, then give us a bell on 07855754031.

Oh, I'll have a nice cold Magners if ya buying please! The drinks are on you! :)

I'm in Warrington and take mine to Woods at Abergele. All of the authorised dealers take the service price from a book (or so I am led to believe).
Woods is about 65 miles for me but I've been happy taking it there and no bull@@@@ from the mechanics.

Awww monkey-nuts, they went and censored the @@@@ word from my post.

Hiya

Locally we have Duc MCR and WL Racing. Bill is good at WL, but he does tend to be more into race bikes and can get quite busy, worth giving him a call though.

Slightly further afield is Woods, Ital Sport and even Ducati John in Leeds.

We are in Chehsire but take ours to Coventry as that is where we are happy getting it done :)

I am just round the corner from maxton, and my 916 lives up at billys. sadly because its "mates rates" its always at the back of the queue. however top notch job but as lilly says, he's an RS specialist and road bikes at this time of the year you would need to pin him down.

When I had my 996sps it went to Bill's and the service was spot on. Dead freindly bloke, surgical workshop and a top brew while you wait. One day when I arrived to pick it up Bill was polishing the bike !
Goes without saying horses for courses but independents don't normally charge dealer rates.

Thanks for the info.

Just back to my PC now, so thanks to everyone who has taken time to write and thanks for all the info.

Will see you at the Poacher some time (not tomorrow as the battery has just died :( )..

Cheers,
Chris.

P.S. thanks for the invite Padge!
