Which Paddock Stand?

I need a paddock stand for my 998 & was seriously considering an Abba, as if I have to do any work on the back end that involves removing the wheel, I will be able to...........remove the back wheel! A "standard" type would make it difficult due to having a great big metal thing sticking thru the swing arm into the wheel, or am I exaggerating the problem in my head?? it was easy on my ZXR, the stand located under the swing arm, not thru it.
Anyone else use Abba? Any good?

Theres plenty of paddock stands for the single siders. They go thru the sprocket side allowing you to remove the rear wheel easily. Dp also do one that goes thru the wheel side allowing you to easily work on the sprocket etc.

I have a single sided rear paddock stand which is easy one person operation and I have the 46mm and 28mm sockets for front and rear that I was going to put on fleabay PM me if your interested!

I use an Abba on the 999 and multi, they are great for removing both wheels ( no need for a front stand) but aren't quite as convenient just to park bike on. also useful if you want to check rear/front sag or remove forks for oil change. A paddock stand is almost impossible to use for that as you need another stand to go into steering head. I've ended up with both paddock and Abba stands though and am still considering a front steering head one.

lots to choose from, try local dealers, speed shops, magazines, demon tweeks etc. all work much the same and the front end means you need another one anyway. buy the cheapest.

Lol, never used to use a front stand! a rope round the top yoke & a pulley always did the job! But they do seem cheap on Ebay so I may as well treat myself.
I think Steve is going to be able to sort me out a rear stand.:)
